It’s interesting how some people view the trucking industry, this misconception and misinformation about being a Class A driver and having to be gone all the time and not making money….home every day and night, 6 figures, and phenomenal benefits…guys it’s who you choose to work for and what works for you. You can find a good local Class A job that pays you well and makes sure you are home when it matters most. Do your research before you make the decision to join a trucking company!
Are you a class a driver? If so wat are your thoughts about recent graduates goin to work for pepsi local. Is that a good first job a new driver coming out of school should look to get? I'm in school now. Trying to get as much information that I can get
@dhwillo610 if you know for a fact that you don't want to go over the road then take whatever local job offer you get. That's my personal opinion though
@@dhwillo610 That's what I did when i got my license, except I did it with keurig dr.pepper instead. Did that first, got my experience and now im fixing to get started as a transport driver for DFA soon. Beverage and food industry are the best places to start if you wanna do local work!
Hi Anthony. Can you kindly advice me?. I'm dating a truck driver. Sometimes he goes a whole day without calling me. I'm the sort of person that can do without much communication (I'm okay with either actually) and I have adjusted for him because I want him to be safe out on the road so I never want to distract him by calling him. BUT I'm naturally a worrier. And I worry about him a lot. I've mentioned to him that he should please let me know at the end of his day that he is okay otherwise I will start thinking something happened to him. I believe this is a reasonable request since I love him very much and I care about him. But he doesn't do that. I don't know if this is because it's the nature of the job sometimes. For example I didn't hear from him all throughout yesterday. And I sent him text messages saying he should please let me know that he's okay because that's the main thing for me (he's safety) and I still haven't heard from him. Is this normal sometimes? I am worried 😭😭😭 Also how can I be even more supportive of him? What should I be doing or not doing?

Wassup I got a question I went to an interview for Gordon food and Sysco I got accepted by both. If you were in this position which one of these would you go for? I been watching your videos for a while now and I know you’ve been in food service for a while. Can you give me advice on this I want to know which one is better and or makes more money. Thanx brotha 💪💯
What up bro. I’ll just give you my opinion since you asked. GFS is a better company hands down in terms of culture and how the majority of drivers are treated. That’s not even debatable if you do some research on Sysco. My opinion is based on a combination of my own experience and what I’ve seen and heard from either current or former drivers from both companies. That doesn’t mean Sysco is a bad company. However, GFS is better in that aspect. In terms of pay, that’s going to depend on your route, location, etc. Just more variables to consider. Could go either way. I believe Sysco is now on 4 day workweek’s. I don’t know if that’s company wide or in specific locations but that obviously limits the amount of hours you’re able to work. That could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. GFS drivers are on the DOT 60hr clock so there’s limitations there as well. Listen, whichever one you choose if it doesn’t work I’m sure you’ll have more opportunities. Do you have any prior foodservice experience?
@@imanthonytv thanks for the info Bruh I went to the interview for Sysco they told me I would have to work 5 days a week Saturdays are mandatory he told me that for the training time I would be getting paid 28 an hr and it was going to be a very hard job as with Gordon I would getting paid daily and something about Chinese pay 🤷♂️ but I could make real good good money with them as well of course nothing lower than 1100. I worked for Mclane and Halperns the pay isn’t cutting it so I went and I applied for these 2 now. I’m just wondering if I’m going to do the same amount of work should I go to Sysco or is Gordon matching something close to Sysco money wise? Again thanks bro what u think
Appreciate the knowledge and perspective.
