I just received my order from Scents-of-Earth today! I found out the Baieido charcoal is the same thing you have:) They even included a piece of Frankincense Royal Hojary! Thanks again!
I'm so glad I found your page I am loving your aromatherapy videos and I am going to be trying to make some different types of incense myself! My question is: where do you source your resins from? Do you tend to buy online or is there a local place that supplies for you? Thank you! 😁
Hi Jenni! There are several ways to burn resins and using white ash is optional. If you are using a heat proof bowl, you can use just the charcoal and the resin.
Hi Sara! To burn powder incense you could either place a small amount on a charcoal disc as you would with a resin, or your could make incense sticks. You can see how to make your own incense sticks in this video: ua-cam.com/video/hb-tddQi5Ps/v-deo.html
Hi! Thanks for this! I have regular charcoal but it looks like its barely burning? What do I so then? I have tried to light it up numerous times but it just keeps going out
Sorry to hear you're having trouble keeping your charcoal burning. We prefer bamboo or hinoki charcoal because they do not have any lighter fluid in the charcoal as some of the regular charcoal rounds. They are available at Aromatics International. www.aromatics.com/products/charcoal-tablets
Great question, Nicole K! Occasional burning of incense is fine since we are not directly inhaling the smoke but using it to scent the space around us.
That burner is beautiful xx
I'm in love with that burner too! Hope I find one just like it one day.
Andrea, would you mind sharing where you buy your natural bamboo charcoal? I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Thank you for another awesome video!
I did just locate Baieido charcoal. Do you have any idea if this is the same as natural bamboo charcoal? Thank you:)
Awesome! Thank you so much:)
She is so wonderful...Right??
She really is:)

Are you supposed to place the charcoal on white ash in the burner? I keep seeing that in the instructions when shopping for the charcoal.

Where do you buy the bamboo sticks? The only ones ive found are black? Thank you.
We love these ones 💜

You have to wait until the charcoal turns gray almost ashy then you put incense
Yes, with some charcoal you do wait until the charcoal is good and hot. Great comment!
How do we burn powder incense? Thank you

Can I use a shell for a burner
Hi Jeanne! We suggest using a heat safe dish.
Hey Andrea, is Incense not bad for you? Because i thought inhaling smoke is bad for your lungs
Ohhk cool! So the smoke doesn't get collected/absorbed into the lungs like cigarettes?
Great question, Nicole K! Occasional burning of incense is fine since we are not directly inhaling the smoke but using it to scent the space around us.
Went to link, Aromahead and I couldn't find that bamboo charcoal; that site is a chaotic mess!
Hi @C_Farther! Aromatics International carries Bamboo Charcoal- you can find it at this link: www.aromatics.com/products/charcoal-tablets
