Perfect video...thank you! With your excellent step by step instructions I'm becoming quite the DIYer! (I don't think hubby thought I could it! 😉) Much appreciated!
Thank you! I was able to fix my '06 Escalade in 45 minutes with your tutorial and part. Your instructions were so clear it was simple. Saved me nearly $700 the dealership wanted for such an easy job.
Thank you very much for a great video. I wanted to add that the same actuator from Amazon worked for my 2006 GMC Yukon Denali. No clips broke, everything went back in place perfectly and it locks now 😁👍
Right on Dude! You got me looking like I know what I'm doing. 😊Really appreciate your video. My 05 Yukon denali xl back door and glass wouldn't pop open. This fixed the problem. Thank you

I just did this on my 2006 Suburban saving about $500 at the mechanic. The best DIY video I have ever followed- did the entire thing in about 45 minutes. Thank you !

Great video! Very helpful and not A LOT of story telling, you were straight to the point! Everything was correct, I was able to change it out myself with your video!!
Great job. Gonna do this to my 2005 H2 tomorrow. However, my anxiety kicked in when you didn't at least try your key fob once to make sure the actuator worked before putting the trim back together! LOL

Just fixed my 06 Burb, that wouldn't unlock btw. Be sure to install new part in "unlock" position. There's another YT vid on how to get the hatch and glass open from the inside without taking off the inside plastic. Saved my asssss, because i built a camper out of mine and absolutely no room to pull panels off.
Great discriptive easy to fallow video. Thankyou for this. Ill definately be subbing & looking at your videos first when i need to know something. Im a jeep guy who just bought a used escalade, im usta u-joint & trailside welding fixes, the electronics & interior panels are driving me nuts on this Cadi lol
My 05 Yukon lift gate handle works (opens and latches shut) and the back glass button too, but it will not Lock. Does this fix my issue? Any other possible causes of my problem? All other doors lock and unlock with the lock buttons in the cab.
Any ideas on how to complete this job if the rear handle is stuck in place? I am unable to open the liftgate, but can open the liftgate window. Thank you.
Is the lifgate actuator a power source? because when I press the unlock button I do not hear any clicking in the rear how do I check the power? My fuses are good but door and window will not open rear hatch liftgate 2006 Yukon denali
Hello I have a 2001 Yukon Denali the liftgate glass will not latch I can hear it function locking and unlocking but it will not latch the rear glass window any suggestions? Thanks in advance
I have a 2006 Cadillac Escalade and the actuator broke with the door locked. Any idea how to manually unlock it so I can open the window and rear hatch to remove the interior panel?
+Valerie Overend Here's a how-to video for a vehicle similar to yours. These steps should be similar enough to complete this task: 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ ua-cam.com/video/9TyTgOF67Aw/v-deo.html
@@TRQ Thank you but it’s the rear hatch door, not the front door. I’ve actually replaced the actuator before and am prepared to do it again but the door and window are locked. I need to get it unlocked so that I can proceed with removing the interior panel and replacing the actuator.
@@valerieoverend645 There is a video on UA-cam that shows how to do that. Apparently at the very bottom of the rear lift hatch there are a couple “indents ““ in the plastic. You drill out the one on the right, only drilling the plastic, and then use some sort of small screwdriver or punch to release the lock on the door.
So my Chevy Tahoe -06 I replaced the actuator, it locks and unlocks but won’t open still, I did the actuator perfectly. What else could be the problem?
I get a notice on the screen saying that the rear liftgate is unlock when I start my 2003 Chevy Tahoe would the liftgate actuator be the issue? Thanks in advance.

I can confirm I just replaced the door lock actuator for this purpose and it did not fix the rear access open message on the cluster.
@@krajitom1442 did you ever figure out what the rear access problem was on your Tahoe? Thanks
Mine won't lock when I locked the truck. It's still able to open.
Mine wont open at all with pulling handle or pushing button so it can't be the actuator cause you just opened both from outside
My glass button doesn’t do anything nor does my lift gate handle? Any idea what’s wrong?
Did you figure out what it was? Mine does same but said “replace lift gate fuse”
Will a faulty actuator cause my battery to drain
No, has nothing to do with it.
You made this look to easy, lol.
Buy OEM or do it again!
My window doesn’t open so that might be a problem
Won’t catch so does not close
nothing is ever "just like that"
Where do you get a replacement of the "little piece" that you slid outwards at 4:18?
I need to fix the button it pushes in but won’t push out ... any idea where I can get it ?
