Spencer's quotes team of the season for english players from one site, but then quotes stats of players from another site, why may that be? Noble, Yeah great he's had good season, BUT there are so many player ahead of him: Dier, Drinkwater and miner who have had better seasons, then you have players like Hendo, Barkley and Alli, all of whom who have been better than Noble. Delph yes probably doesn't deserve to go, but he is amore of a and i quote "game changer" than noble. Who is your Classic english midfielder who runs around a lot and passes the ball sideways.
If you look t the squad and the way england have been setting up, we aren't playing with wide players atm. The fact you make such a big deal about antonio is a joke. Yeah fantastic he has had a good season at west ham, he has scored some goals (How many of those are from set plays which means nothing to the way he plays?) but lets be honest the england team Roy has chosen isn't set up for wingers. That is why he has chosen very attacking Full backs.
Creswell, not even considered because he is not as good as attacking as Rose/Bertrand, and not as good as defending as Baines. Thats why he is not in, no on cares that he is not in as you mentioned in your video about FORM players getting in Rose and Bertrand have been better than him.

I'm not being a biased Wolverhampton Wanderers fan but we've had an exceptional season, we were predicted to finish 2nd in the Championship and we finished 14th. George Saville scored 3 goals in about 17 games or whatever so he definitely should've been taken instead of Dele Alli. Joe mason scored once in half a season so he should go instead of Vardy.

Rashford only started playing senior football in February and as an 18 year old a kid has scored 10 goals plus assists. He also just became the youngest ever England player to score on his debut, an 80-odd year old record. He scored on his European debut, his League debut, his FA Cup debut and his England debut. That's an exceptional record at ANY club and I doubt he'd have gone completely unnoticed (esp after his brace vs Arsenal).
Rooney's club form has been poor this season but his England goal-scoring record is top notch. Some 13 goals in his last 15 England games? That's another reason why he's still in. Agree his future may be in midfield, though.
Maybe you're right that Rashford would've been overlooked for this squad if he didn't play for a big club but I still think he deserved a call-up given the impact he's had in such a short space of time. And I'm as biased about him as you've been about your West Ham rant. 😉

Lol Dier scored on his debut for Tottenham, on his friendly debut for England and his official debut for England and he is a fucking defensive midfielder. Rashford was amazing at the Euros and he should have gone, but Spencer is only saying that Roy never considers players who are more proven or statiscally better just because they dont get all the hype from the media

I don't understand how people can be mad at the fact Townsend has been picked. He was very good for England, then Spurs didn't play him at all, so he moved at his first possible chance to Newcastle and straight away performed brilliantly.

How far we have progressed. We went from 1-2 right backs to 4! Weak CB to very strong.Midfield changed. Attack is now improved and has been added too aswell

I'm German not English but I'm never understood why Mark Noble isn't more popular in England. He reminds me a lot of Frank Lampard, and is possibly the most consistent English midfielder currently. He commands midfield well and has vision, all great English teams have a player like him in the past.

You're off your nut, that is a very technically gifted goal, granted it was against Australia, but it was near post, of the top of the toe which is really hard to get really good contact and make the right touch to strike with power, as well as that, the pressure of the fact he had to score because it was his debut, his body when striking the ball was pivoted down as not to strike the ball over the bar or make it go towards the goal keeper.Also to do all of those things there are a few defenders around him meaning he had almost 1-2 seconds as how he would strike and get his body into the shape to strike the ball. So.. credit Where credit is due... and like others i believe it is due.

Rashfords all round game is better than Defoe, if you have actually seen him play you would know this. The kids positioning and awareness is ridiculously good for his age. And he actually knows how to give a good pass, so he could slip them passes in behind for Vardy to run onto. Defoe doesn't do that, everyone knows how Defoe plays, he hasn't got too many facets to his game. He has played for England and been to tournaments before and done fuck all. So I say give Rashford the chance and the valuable experience. Cause when someone like R9 comments on him saying he sees himself in Rashford, you know you got a good player.

When you showed the top rated squad Antonio wasn't the only one excluded, Drinkwater was a lap excluded and he played 3,000 minutes and helped his team to win the premier league

he doesn't pick players based on stats he picks them on performances, yes, antonio had more goals and assists than some of the players, however them goals may have just been tap-ins and they pick players based on creating chances and playing style

Man United are in the FA cup final and Liverpool are in the Europa League final. If West Ham have had a good season winning no trophies and just qualifying for Europa then Liverpool and Man U (providing they do what's expected and win the tournaments) have had much better seasons as they have matched West Ham and won silverware. "Bad seasons" in comparison to some of their past ones maybe but European and Domestic cup success would not be a "Bad season" at all in my books.

Nobody is, in the future he will be better that Defoe ( keyword future ) but for now you have to take Defoe as he has been really good.

PEOPLE. Yes, a lot of you say about him being biased with West Ham players, but he has a valid point. There are many players who should have been selected over some who were selected. Some of these were West Ham players. There are lots of people who (going by the stats) should've been in there, but for him to mention every single one of them would take forever. So, he selected the West Ham players to emphasise the point. He does also mention other players, such as Jermain Defoe (I don't know if you've noticed, but he doesn't play for West Ham). So can all of you people saying he is extremely biased chill out. He's not, he's just making a valid point using a selection of the wide variety of players he could choose. Okay?

Totally agree that the main problem with England - beside defensive frailty - is the negative mentality on the big stage of our squads. We always stroll through qualification, only then to take the players that got us qualified out of the squad. Wilshere's good but he hasn't really contributed to the qualifiers and he's also injury prone.
We need solid reliable players with great attitudes like Noble and possibly Antonio. Your point about Defoe was very valid. If Rashford and Defoe were in opposite clubs Defoe would have walked into the team, but Marcus gets the nod simply because he's impressed during late season for a lacklustre United side.
Taking Rooney is an obvious moot point. However, we're going to struggle if the team has to be moulded around Rooney and his strengths rather than playing him in a system moulded around the ability of Kane, Ale, and Vardy. Going on our last friendly it looks like he's going to play to the former system and if it's all about Rooney (again) we'll be coming home early.
