The sound of this machine brings me back to when I was very young. My neighbor across the street had a Frigidaire with this wash action (the lid had the glass window so you can see it wash). I would go over and play with my friend and this machine was always heard in the background in the kitchen. I grew up with a Westinghouse front loader in our kitchen with the dryer on top so the sounds were different.
Such a funr machine. My neighbor across the street had that model when I was a kid. You should see about getting a bulb for the timer. That dial on those jet cone machines looks lovely illuminated.
And there is the issue with this type of pulsator. 100% Cotton sheets and other bedding would do just fine. ANY kind of blended fabric sheets and comforters will just get blown-up with air and sit there. The 1-18 was just as bad. IMO the best of the classic Frigidaire cleaning systems was a traditional "Three-Ring" pulsation system. If loaded properly, tangling was not a problem.
I don't think any top-loader washer was designed to wash comforters or other bedding. That's a job for heavy duty front-loaders at the laundromat. Otherwise, good and unique washer.
@@ScantPearthat blue thing on the washer sounds like a Cummins engine but sounds like it so awesome when it starts right up 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

The normal 1,50 rpm like the Hotpoint top loader back in 1980!! Top marks!👋👋

I liked those old Machines when they light up, it made it so easy to read the Dals
Great job on the repair. Love your t-shirt too
This bedding needs to be in a front loading machine
Nice machine 👍🏻

Cool washer, very strange timer knob placement.

Nice machine, but overloaded with clothes. Less clothes means less wear.
That's when they made washers, to last now they don't
Could you do the wash n wear white cotton setting with a small load?
Edit: use the normal soil setting as well
Yikes!, you got a whole laundromat in your garage
His family doesn't have to worry about buying a new washer anytime soon.
Good job but too overloaded no roll over
Use a stick to push it down.
Nice machine also can you do my request please
do you have a wide base blue kitchenaid agitator i can trade you for my vintage sq agitator with chrome cap
@@domthewasherguy send me a message and pic of the agitator on Instagram and I will see if I’m down or not
@@ScantPear can i send it through email
@@ScantPeari sent you an email with pictures of them
Love this machine but not used to the agitator going up and down. The later models that Frigidaire made they made the agitator s go back and forth
