When you have that smart disk error 301, it is recommended to replace the drive. Even though it works fine for now. Eventually, it will fail all of a sudden.

1. You need to remove the existing hard drive from your computer
2. Purchased a hard drive bay
3. Connect the hard drive to a new computer using the hard drive bay you purchased
4. Access the hard drive from Windows Explorer app, and copy your personal folder (your personal folder is located under users folder)

It means the computer detected errors on your drive. It may work fine for now, but eventually, it will fail. Make a backup as soon as possible

Yes I did. When you have the smartdisk error 301, you need to make a backup(if possible) and replace the hard drive.

Probably your main drive. Because that is what the laptop tries to boot from at the beginning

The error message appears when you have a problem on your main hard drive. It is best to make a full backup(if possible) and the replace the existing hard drive. You don't really have to buy a new laptop since this is just a hard drive issue.

I cannot guarantee anything when you have hard drive problem like this one. You have to try and see..

My answer is to try. Depends on the problem, you maybe able to clone your drive or not. Even though it is not recommended to clone a faulty drive, sometimes, you may get 100% of data out of it without any issues, and when there is a critical problem on a drive, the clone will likely fail.
I have done factory reset 3 times in a row. Cannot fix it.
This is your hard drive problem. Factory reset wont fix this issue
I have the same error but it boot with out any problem and the pc runs good (no difference between before the error and after the error) and the health of the drive 0 how ?
Your hard drive could die anytime soon. You should make a full backup and replace that old drive.

How have you backed up?
Need to take out the existing hard drive and I did connect the hard drive to a different computer with a hard drive bay, then I was able to transfer my files from the drive.

Help me i have been in a constant loop of hard disk not detected, smart disk error and no boot system detected..
My HP laptop has been upgraded three months ago with an SSD from my old HDD and it showed great performance ... but then this happened for about 1 week already.. pls help me i also visited numerous youtube tutorials and none really resolve my issues,
I also opened the hardware of my laptop and checked the placement of my ssd, unplugged and plugged the connections but still same error ocuured .... I dont know what to do now, there are no repair services due loockdown and our deadlines are approaching huhhu...

If you have an extra hard drive at home, you should try to use the hard drive to see if its okay. Your ssd might be defective

If you can boot to Windows, try using Crystal Disk Info app to see the condition of your SSD
