It's taken me 2 days just to hang my porch swing. We have a vinyl ceiling covering our joists. Had to remove the ceiling install additional support and mark the drill location and reinstall the vinyl.
Insanely annoying but the wife is getting lots of laughs🤦🏾‍♂️😥😊

What is the size of the rope in length and breadth?

How do you "pre drill"? And why would it prevent splitting?

you drill a pilot hole using a drill bit, before screwing in your screw. this will prevent splitting the wood.
