    BAC marching drums, pretty cool.

The second I started playing in a jazz band full time, I bought myself a mute stand. Not sure which brand is best or which you would like best but, pro tip, try them yourself with your mutes first if you can. I always seem to be snagging my cork on the edge of the holes. Thankfully, they're rounded edges so it tends not to be an issue but not one I would have thought it.

Thx for the review and thoughts ... I was not there and was interested to know if there was any 'new releases' to consider. Were any of the Bach 37's that you tried a reverse leadpipe model (just 1 support arm at the tuning slide)? I find those to be the best playing 'to me', as the blow is not as tight (less back-pressure). I also like their large bore trumpets (just a tad bigger at .462 bore) for that same reason. I play Adams (and other brands), owning a custom A4 LT with a 5.5" red brass bell. It is fabulous. So glad you had the opportunity to visit NAMM and play so many horns. Most never have that options, but there is no better way to learn what you really like!

3:02 that’s not just a marching French horn, it’s a high-F marching French horn. Essentially a mellophone with a French horn shank. I played one made by Blessing in high school, it was awful.
Also cool to see BAC, they got Kanstul’s old tooling so they’re making G bugles for the marines, but only the 3 valve tooling. Kanstul had custom 2 valve tooling for the marines. Now BAC are the only G bugle manufacturers left 😢

Just for my own personal use, do you have a source regarding BAC recieving Kanstul's old tooling, and mandrils?

@@CJsMusicTrumpetthere’s a few news articles about it from 2019, and BAC’s posted on Facebook about it. They also own the tooling from Benge.
