  • Struggling to walk your dog on a loose leash? I’m going to teach you how to use a prong collar (also known as a pinch collar) in a loose leash walking game!
Prong collar training - the loose leash walking game will teach any dog to stop pulling. A pinch collar is a training tool that when used correctly is perfect for DIY dog training and structured walks. The prong collar can be used as another effective training tool for many dogs as it will stop leash pulling while you turn your walks into a loose leash walking game. I will show you how to properly use a prong collar in a safe and even fun way. Your dog will actually enjoy the walk and won’t want to pull on a leash ever again with some training! I do not suggest this tool be used on a very reactive aggressive dog as a first step OR young pups that don't have a solid foundation with positive training first.

Lots of good tips in this video. It's even educational to watch again without audio for watching movements and posture more closely. Thank you!

In training now in a class with other dogs. First experience with a prong collar was a nightmare. My corgi shut down, so I’m afraid to continue training since it was an hour long trauma for him. Any advice?

Need more videos of these with prong collars with a dog that pulls hard and reactive. Is easy to train like this till you go out for real walks. Would love to see how that is handled during reactivity. I believe that’s what most people struggle with.

Definitely what I struggle with most. My boy walks not too badly as long as his leash is connected to both front and back of his harness, but the barking and lunging!

my rescue malinois pulled so hard on slip collars because of his high drive, then i got a prong collar and that pinching completely changed his behaviour to not wanting to pull and understand to walk on loose leash. game changer

Dude this is an awesome video.
I am about to introduce the Prong collar to my 3 month all Amstaff.
Now i know before any normal walk, i should expose him to the collar pressure with minimum distractions, so thanks a lot
    (pls correct me if wrong)
Questions: How much exposure to the pressure and the prong collar before I take him on a real walk?
Is it ok to keep the prong collar during the whole walk? or should I switch it to flat or martingale after a while or when he meets another dog and starts playing and twitching?

I have a client that won't use one on their German Shepherd in public because they're afraid of what people might think. Well, they went to a ball park and they wasn't paying attention to the dog and a kid kicked a soccer ball and the dog took off and broke her hand along with tendon damage etc. Hopefully she learned a lesson

ouch! It's a sin to see all the negativity and bashing that people will dish out over a training tool. Fear of what others think holds many people back from living their best life and getting the growth and results they deserve with their dog.

My dog does his poo during our morning walk, you said your dog had gone toilet before the walk. If I cannot get him to do his poo before the walk, I would be correcting him when he needs to go toilet. How would I treat this?
