Genuine question, what is the difference between all of the cymbals? They seem to be the same size and to me they sound the same, is there a difference or is it a locational preference thing and they’re the same?

Why did you play only the floor tom, not floor tom+bass drum at 2:26?
In the original I think there is only a timpani there, or a floor tom with a lot of reverb and other effects like I did
