  • A Lot of People Prefer Life the Easy Way. But not this guy! Join us on this flight in the Cherokee 6 from Lebanon Airport in Missouri to our country home in Kentucky. After refueling the airplane at Lebanon Airport Javier and I continue on to Kentucky. After landing, we fuel up the Piper Cherokee Six and then I take it for a wash.

    Love that plane. Love watching your son grow and helping as well. Great family values. I was wanting to learn to fly last year. Life through me a curve ball. Stage 4 lymphoma. After six months of chemo and radiation doctors tell me it’s gone. Now to get my health back and hopefully get back on track to learn to fly and one day have a Cherokee 6. Keep up the great work and inspirational videos.

      Thank you very much my friend. Glad to hear your health is back on track. I think family values are extremely important in life. Hopefully you’ll get your Cherokee 6 so we can share the skies. 😄 Have a great day and best wishes to you and yours.

    Raul you are spot on in your assessment and thoughts of society today. There is something to be said about a hard days work in the country, it keeps you focused and as you have pointed out it relaxes you as it is something in your mind hat gives you a satisfied feeling of accomplishment. There is nothing wrong with going back to the way of our forefathers and learning the ways of living off the land and not needing to get every darn thig from a grocery store. I look forward to more content and the final video of you all saying goodbye to the city life.

      Absolutely, every single time that I work on putting a project together it does keep me focused and helps relax my mind. And I can’t say enough about that feeling of satisfaction of accomplishments. I was experimenting with gardening this summer and it was pretty darn awesome to pick out my very own fresh vegetables. We talk about that final moment very often and we are definitely looking forward to it 😀. Thanks a lot for picking it all apart precisely.

    Love it! Thanks. I was raised on the south side of Chicago! But now I live in New Mexico as far way from people as I can get! And I play with airplanes for a living and just for fun!

    Totally agree with your sentiments. I feel like many people are teaching their kids to "question everything!" versus "query what doesn't make sense", which leads to people making decisions based on emotion rather than logic. Similar to yourself, ive got a place in the country (farm) that I try to run to as much as possible. It's a great place to watch kids grow up, learn new things, and to learn how to not be dependent on society!

      Totally agree! Emotional decisions can be catastrophic. I tell you, I regret not doing this and not learning to become more independent from society sooner. I really enjoy it out here! 😀

    I have watched all of your videos,great job and very professional editing, as well as informative. I retired from law enforcement flying helicopters and moved from Louisiana to Colorado a few years ago and had my Archer III hangered at Colorado Springs for about 3 years. I moved to Iowa on a residential airpark in the middle of nowhere, I love it! Stop in anytime my friend, identifier is 60IA just east of Davenport. Keep up the good work and enjoy Kentucky, it's a beautiful state. I hope to fly with you someday so I can put you my youtube channel!

    I used to be so proud to be an American. Now? Not so much... The last few years have really soured me. I worked my tail off my whole life, saved like crazy for the future. And now, my money's worth nothing. Everything is two to three times as expensive as it was just a few years ago. I love to go boating and flying, but it's too expensive to do either anymore. I'm glad I'm old. I feel sorry for the young people that will inherit this country. The house of cards will crash eventually. No one will be immune.

    I got my plane fixed. I should be good for a few years with my new alternator. It tales very little to make me happy. My friend is relocating to Denver to fly for Southwest, he needs advice from a local. You able to do lunch at Big Sandy?

    but why on earth, when you can literally fly anywhere, would you go to Kentucky?

    • @FlyingDirty
      @FlyingDirty  10 місяців тому

      For a multitude of abundant reasons! My own personal question would be, why on earth would I want to be anywhere else?

    How do you take off in a Saratoga and land in a Cherokee 6?!?! 😂

    • @FlyingDirty
      @FlyingDirty  10 місяців тому

      It may seem funny to you but that’s actually a good observation and one that I have talked about in multiple videos. My Cherokee Six and my Turbo Saratoga are both PA32s. So when I file IFR it doesn’t matter to ATC which of the two versions I fly. They will always refer all PA32s as Saratoga’s. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Cherokee Six, Lance, Saratoga, or the Piper 6X. So most Cherokee Six owners who fly IFR will more often than not refer to a Cherokee Six as a Saratoga. Also, since I was landing and not communicating any further with ATC then it’s also ok to say Cherokee 6. But when talking with ATC you don’t want you to say Cherokee 6 then your tail number. Bottom line, what matters is to know what your are doing and why you are doing it! 😂😂😂

      @@kurtiswest4979 I totally understand Kurtis. I could not even tell you exactly which videos 😀. You should have seen him today. He was flying the Saratoga like pro. He has such a great advantage and flies great. But I always try to tell him that he has to start studying if he wants to become a great certified pilot. I do hope he becomes an aviator. Thanks 😊
