So the reason for the lean back is not to hit the horses back for momentum or power it’s so you can lift on the riggin and get ahold of the neck better. Also if you don’t lean back while your feet are at the neck point of the bronc you will get slung to the side of the horse and the main reason you don’t want to get to the opposite side of you are is because your hand will get stuck in the bareback riggin
Effective in the fact in helping him maintain balance. If he leans back he cant suddenly get jerked off to the side by the horse. It also mitigates the impact of horse bucking against him to get him off its like falling on your terms by using the land below you against gravity kind like a trampoline if it didnt bounce you back up.

Thats not the case here. These horses and other rodeo stock are cared for with the upmost respect. This is their job and they know it... several bucking horses have been worked into riding and working horses. Rodeo stock is very expensive and the amount of money spent to keep them healthy is mind boggling. When one of these animals passe the rodeo world mourns and the stock contractors say it is sometimes kin to losing a family member....
Trust me, these animals are mostly tame and are cared for with love. This is there job and they are treated VERY well for it. What makes them buck is a rope under their belly.

Thats not the case here. These horses and other rodeo stock are cared for with the upmost respect. This is their job and they know it... several bucking horses have been worked into riding and working horses. Rodeo stock is very expensive and the amount of money spent to keep them healthy is mind boggling. When one of these animals passe the rodeo world mourns and the stock contractors say it is sometimes kin to losing a family member....
Trust me, these animals are mostly tame and are cared for with love. This is there job and they are treated VERY well for it. What makes them buck is a rope under their belly.
You know there is this thing called bulls that are trained and posess the traits for natural bucking, right? The less you speak before opining the more you benefit.
