مدينة سيجريا القديمة  واحدة من أجمل وأعرق الحضارات القديمة، وأكبر شاهد ودليل علي جمال حضارة سريلانكا القديمة.. وهي مدينة تقع في محافظة ماتيل “وسط سريلانكا”، تم إدراجها كموقع للتراث العالمي لليونسكو، بنيت على صخرة جبل أو كما تسمى صخرة الأسد يبلغ ارتفاعها 200 متر تقريبًا، ويتم الوصول إليها عن طريق درج تحت حراسة تمثال لأسد ضخم، وجدرانها تتزين بلوحاتٍ متقنة لنساءٍ جميلات بناها الملك كاسيابا بعد أن اغتصب الحُكم بقتل أبيه، ويقال إنه بناها فوق قمة الجبل كي يحتمي بها من أخيه خوفًا من أن يقتله انتقامًا لأبيه، ولكنه انتحر بعد أن هزمه أخوه في المعركة.. جمال هذه المدينة يجعلني أريد الحديث طويلًا عنها، ولكن ربما يغني هذا الفيديو عن كتابة تفاصيل أكثر..

There's another story about Sigiriya actually. Because as I've heard the true story is that the great king Ravana built this amazing castle before 7500 years ago. King Ravana had connections with Maya civilization as well,which proves us by the marriage of Ravana with the daughter of the King who ruled Maya civilization that time. And there are soo many more about the king Ravana. He even built an aeroplane 7500 years ago. Some ruins of the air way he used to fly the plane can be still found in Hortan Plains,SL.

As usual indians will love to claims Rama Rawana legendary stories. As Srilankans we should not be fooled by silly stories. Unless historically prooven.
