Stephen Colbert took over as host, executive producer and writer of THE LATE SHOW on Sept. 8, 2015.
Seriously, the world would not have been the same without Harrison Ford. HIs impact an influence forever will be legendary.
Of all the actors that could have been we got to see this dumb shit over and over and god just F(#@$ die already.
He's just an actor, folx.
He is one of those people that will always draw a crowd... whose career has just been legendary. Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Meryl Streep, Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Bette Davis, Katherine Hepburn, Jimmy Stewart ... people you are/were willing to see just because of their history of giving good, solid performances. He is also proof that having an award like an Oscar isn't what defines success ... that the quality of the work is what matters.
He’s like Paul Newman (among many other iconic movie stars). A treasure to the art form and a presence I already miss…despite his still being among us😘
Just a talented MOVIE START
He can be a hard interview but he got his dry humor. That was great!
Yeah I was expecting him to be pretty blase but he was really engaged here and seemed very interested in the 'deepfake' technology they used on him
A carpenter at heart.
@@chinookvalley We should have more carpenter interviews, or "people that worked for Joan Didion" interviews.
"I used to be..." at :30. When people say "You're Harrison Ford", he's been known to say that. In "The Force Awakens", he says "I used to be" when Rey says, "You're Han Solo!" One of Ford's many contributions to the series.
Oooh, good catch!
Harrison Ford talking about his time at Studio 54 would be my favorite thing ever.
This was a great interview. He's still so genuine, calm, and cool, and that always throws people off.
wow i've never laughed this hard at a celebrity interview. the timing and the endearing awkwardness were comedic gold
Oh man I wanted so much more Harrison Ford!
I hope that they end up coming out with a Colbert Questionnaire for him cuz I feel like he'd give fascinating answers
Harrison Ford. A perfect example of why it is best to allow the passage of time to determine how a face ages rather than the scalpel.
He's 80 and he's still got it
💯
Hey gramps, how about we just let people do what they want instead of deciding what is “best” for others…
@@poopsonastick13, sure junior
Let’s be honest though. Harrison started with such an amazing face that no wonder he still looks good without surgery.
that was definitely an above-average Harrison Ford interview. Well done, Stephen!
I love Stephen's dynamic with Harrison Ford.
Harrison Ford will always look great!!!
Most honest moment I’ve ever seen in an interview from this show… “I still see brown hair.”
"Anything I know!" .. which is nothing, brilliant.
And Stephen managed to find the one thing he does know and can't tell 😄.
Dang that was mighty fine! Thank you Mr Ford.
Wonderful! How charming and endearingly honest these two are.
Everyone's favourite grumpy uncle!
This Ford is a Mustang. A Star even in a time of Wars. What a great actor of a lifetime
"A Star in a time of Wars"... I see what you did there 👀
Great one!?🧐🤔
Stephen: "You're Harrison Ford! OF COURSE we're gonna do a lot of work for Harrison Ford!"
Harrison: "I used to be..."
That was subtle but heartbreaking to me.
Agreed. no one responded to that slight remark.
Yes, that did tug at my heartstrings too
It IS weird once you look in the mirror and see little of your original hair color and wrinkles crossing laugh lines. But it's nice when you can trust your reactions because of experience... and that doesn't mean you want to stop exploring.
I've heard him saying that in other places too. He's having fun with it.
I think its funny af... he's got a great sense of humor.
True legend.
I have loved this man for as long as I can remember and will love him until the day I die. There will never be another Han Solo, Jack Ryan or (God forbid) Indiana Jones for me. He is the one and only.
My dad was the same age as Harrison and an archaeologist. He also had a fedora and was Scottish, like Dr Henry Jones Sr. When I was wee and Dad went to work I genuinely thought he was off having crazy adventures just like Indy 😂 Especially when he’d go off to places like Peru! (Of course my dad positively encouraged this ☺️)
My dad passed away in April last year, just nine days after being diagnosed with triple Stage 4 cancer. He was a wonderful man and fantastic father, and I miss him every single day. I’ll always associate him with Harrison through Indy. May we please have Dr Jones around for many years to come. 🙏🏻
So sorry about your Dad! God bless...
@@devlongoodman3346 Thank you 😘
What about Blade Runner?
That’s what you took away from my comment? That I didn’t mention Bladerunner?

I always get the vibe that Harrison Ford is kind of embarassed to be in front of a live studio audience that cheer everything he says. Not sure if it's just me.
I think he doesn’t agree with the mentality of people thinking he’s more than a person and that people in those audiences seem to have a hard time knowing when to take a person seriously or laugh at everything they say
@@brianhageland9951 well said!!
I think he just likes to troll people
@@filmtoppings I think that’s sometimes a part of it
I think that's part of his charm.
"I wasn't (a cowboy) then."
Story checks out.
Ekchully he was a cowboy in *American Graffiti*.
@@ericminch Eric, that was a fantastic phonetic attempt to spell "actually"
Harrison played in the TV series The Virginian in his very early acting years: you can’t get more cowboy than that
Would love to see Harrison take the Colbert Questionnaire.
Oh man, imagine if Harrison Ford’s Ross shared a scene with Tony Stark. That clash would’ve been hilarious… also RIP William Hurt
"That wasn't me!" delivered like Han. Harrison Ford is the anti-Tom Cruise ...and that's a good thing for the universe
Yup: Han fired first.
That humor is something I wish we can see alot more of. Its so good
I know he’s been in lots of movies, but for me, he’ll always be Indiana Jones! The perfect man!
The most legendary actor of all time
HARRISON F'N FORD! RESPECT!!👍👍
Legend
i always love his bumbling act in interviews 😄 at this point i don't know--and don't care--if that's an act or his real demeanor. give him the Colbert Questionert!
He smokes a lot of weed so…..
Now I can see how he’s just a bit introverted or not active in interviews, rather than being old. How he keeps his stamina in that age. Wow.
I can truly say that I love this guy! What a great show. Shrinking-on my way 😊
Shrinking is great
Harrison is a delight
One of harrisons best interviews. I normally find him so disinterested in interviews but he seemed to be into it. Well done stephen for a great interview

110% pure talent, comedic legend!
What a beautiful pink sky this morning huh. Is it pink in your world? Harrison Ford was never a comedian.
I find him so cute tbh. Just dry humor but so candid at the same time. So funny.
Fantastic! Stephen is amazing with him 😀
Harrison Ford in the MCU! I can't believe it!
What I wouldn’t give to have the opportunity to have a relaxed dinner with him and listen to his thoughts and recollections. I really hope he has hired someone to record it all for him

I know my first thoughts re Harrison Ford should be from Star Wars or Indiana Jones or perhaps the Jack Ryan films but I always instinctively think of Witness first bc that movie had such a major impact. (Or maybe I just continued to rewatch it past the point I rewatched the other films. Well maybe not the original Indy film. But still.) I guess I can’t really express why precisely. Every one of his films were fantastic. But this one just stands out from the rest.
Well, the one with the roller coaster in the mine, and the hands in the soup, that wasn't on the top shelf.
@@ericminch yes the original is my fav as well!! Most esp’ly that whip/gun shoot out!!
Notice how we forgot "American Graffiti" (1972, about 1962), because it showed how cool the USA was before the hippy counter culture revolution and the death of JFK which was another commie pivot point in our society. The 50's was a decade I could have really enjoyed. But I was born the day after JFK was buried, and we have been losing to communism pretty quickly since then. We just don't know the difference today.
Nah, "American Graffiti"! 😎
@@EarthSurferUSA I gave you a thumbs up for mentioning "Graffiti", but you lost me with that "hippy/commie" bullshit.🙄
Intriguing, i always knew there was more to life and i have also been looking for a way to find not only protection but a way to be influential to the human society

Christian Slater was wrong about Elvis in True Romance. He should've picked early 80's Harrison Ford. Because, If i had to, I mean if my life depended on it, early 80's Harrison Ford would be it.
If you know, you know.
Now that is a movie I haven't heard of in a long long time.
What an underrated actor. He’s been in so many major films and has his own vibe and yet when I say he’s my favorite actor my friends say “who???” 😭😭😭

Hilarious seeing Stephen’s reaction to Harrison Ford’s “It wasnt me”. 😂. Boy what is the studio 54 basement story, i wonder. Lol. Anyway, Harrison Ford is a treasure.
I love Harrison Ford and I cannot wait to see Indiana Jones so many times. This guy helped through a really bad house moving back in 2018, he really saved my insanity.
I've never seen Stephen as shy and intimidated as there :-)
Stephen Colbert Harrison Ford that's what I see when look mirror awesomeness job interview
He's still sexy & still a bad ass
And ur still a 👹
@The Nd according to judgement from a UA-cam comment. Lol. I'd rather go to hell than a place full of judgmental a$$holes, labeling and deciding they know someone based on a screen name or photo. What a sad sorry existence you must have.
Your Harrison Ford!
Damn. I have to get paramount and apple TV?
Exactly...😔
You could go the other way and use AI to replace Sean Connery with the current Harrison Ford so he can play his own father in Last Crusade.
I actually have no idea who Jason Segel is. Just had to google him. But, I do live in a cave and don't watch many movies.
Lol
I've seen a couple, plus they filmed his next one where I live, so I'm likely to see that one, unless it's on a steaming service
Seems like this Harrison kid has a bright future ahead of him. I'd keep an eye out for him. 😉
You might have asked him how he feels about people using AI on his image long after he's gone.
I'm sure he's agreed to it otherwise they wouldn't have been able to make the movie
"I used to be"... oh man, you are still Harrison Ford to me!!! Legendary.
That pic really looks good. Probably the best yet.
Makes me think of DeNiro...a tough interview, not too forthcoming. But his dry delivery puts me in mind of Gary Cooper. What a legend.
Uh no
I have just realised how long Harrison Ford has been in my life, from the first time i saw him in the film American Graffiti until the present time, he is almost like a family member.

The one and only person on TV who can stop an interview earlier than Harrison Ford is expecting. Stephen is the absolute class act, and Harrison Ford the last Hollywood star and genuine great guy.

But he works in hollywood,---and is still alive. That is rare at his age for the last 2 generations.

Those blue eyes still grab me just like they did in the first Indiana Jones in 1980’s. Hey Harrison!
Stephen talked over Harrison's "I used to be" in response to his 'You're Harrison Ford'. Still a soft spoken man.
I like Stephen a lot, but he does often tend to talk over his guests
He's really come a long way. I've been watching him since I was a kid. Indiana Jones is literally a part of my life and who I am just as much as Han Solo. They both influenced me so much I became a archeologist and part smuggler hahahah
