THIS is my kind of movie star. Totally himself, no artifice, no ego. I love him dearly.
Still just the coolest dude out there
Jeff Bridges still has that down.
@@Tao_Tology “this aggression will not stand, maan.”
Never was the coolest....
Man, it feels like yesterday when I queued for Star Wars' theatrical release, all bright eyed and bushytailed... How did that man turn from the father I never had into the grandfather I never had in this short time?!
Harrison Ford isn't too bad either
Of all the things I thought Harrison Ford might say, "Money for nothing, chicks for free" was not on the list.
Gotta love a Dire Straits reference
Respect is earned, and Harrison Ford earned it!
There are movie stars, that actors look up to. And then there are icons, that movie stars look up to. Harrison Ford is one of those.
The man is 80 years old and is still acting, and acting well. I hope he gets past a 100 and still goes on. If I'm half as lucent and active as him when I get to that age I'll count myself lucky. Fantastic.
I hope he gets past 120 and just becomes a pile of mush with a cool earring who likes to get blazed
Kinda like Biden. I hope I’m as good at 80 as the two of them.
Just need millions of dollars to hire a team to keep you healthy.
He drank from the Holy Grail. He's going to be around for a while yet.
Well, you'll have to get lucid before you're lucent.
Lovely to see Harrison enjoying his much deserved warm welcome🥰
His retirement is pretty productive too.
When Stephen asked Harrison if he has ever made-out with Helen, I swear that the video had frozen! 😂
A gentleman doesn’t talk 😉
A true gentleman. Never kiss and tell.
He took a moment to create his own mental image
I hit play 3 times 😅🤣
Harrison is one charming 80 year old. Damn.
Harrison is always entertaining. He's a class act.
Harrison Ford will always be The epitome of Cool! There are and were very few in "the club of the epitome of cool," like Steve McQueen for example. In my younger days, with a best friend, we would watch all of his movies. Great times! Thank you, Harrison.
Ford and mcqueen could've been friends, would've been great to see them in a film together, shame ford hit success just as mcqueens career was ending.
The legend just pulled a Dire Straits, classy classic guy.
Best part 🙂
For real!
also he is worth over 300 million.... This dude is just having fun at 80 and living it up.... one of the best..... also i have say how much i love the chat here. this is the first time in a long time that i feel like i scrolled down, and EVERY post was super positive. thank you. it was a breath of fresh air.

I forgot how funny Harrison Ford is.
Funnier than stephen
I'll never forget the Indiana Jones 80th birthday cake that a lady interviewer presented to him. He was a little freaked out by it, and said he was trying to forget his birthday. Lol 😆
Thank you for your lovely words. I am not a social media person but your sweet words drew my attention thank you sweetheart ❤️. Where are you from?
That scene was filmed right by our Courthouse....3 minutes from our house. Cast and Crew were very friendly and they hired locals as extras.
I know, it's so weird isn't it?
Sometimes I just realize how much of a class act is Colbert as an interviewer. He puts the guest in the front row, but if he sees the guest going to a "lower" level during the interview, Colbert graciously puts them again on the top. Anyway, I'm just ackowledging he's the best talk show interviewer out there and has been for a while.
Have you seen Ford’s two appearances on the Graham Norton Show? First one is best, IMO: Ford, Benedict Cumberbatch and one of my fave British comedians, Jack Whitehall. Ford clearly got a kick out of Whitehall l, and was a fan of Cumberbatch.
I don't know how much is Colbert's staff's selection of guests, and how much is his hosting, and how much is his interviewing skill that makes more people want to be featured guests on his show, but he's incredibly good at interviews. Even people I didn't know and didn't think I'd care about come out sounding amazingly interesting.
I think Colbert is one of the most underrated interviewers out there for sure, though I have noticed that he isn’t great at “faking it” if he doesn’t care about a guest very much. There have been a couple interviews in which he definitely crossed the line into rudeness but it’s entirely possible that the guest was rude to staff backstage or something
@@cloudwatcher608 It may be because I don't watch every one of his interviews, but I have yet to see him look rude or uninterested in a guest. Of course there are some he loves more, and doubtless he could interview Jon Stewart for days on end.
he's a terrible interviewer.. akward and interupts all the time.
What a legend, and funny as hell!
I'm still crushing hard on Harrison
This guy has always been a bit of a father to anyone born in the 80s. We’re all gettin old Docta Jones
I keep expecting another Raiders movie with him set in the future, because the good doctor drank from the cup, don't ya know.
More like the cool uncle. Bob Saget as Danny Tanner was our dad.

He looks fantastic sans the 80.
Harrison Ford is one of the rare actors who can play similar roles, and still have distinctive characters.

What would be cool would be to ask Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford to be guests on the same night without telling each one that the other would be there too.
The sound he makes when he takes a second look at that picture......
I seen him when he was in Butte, Montana riding a horse! The show is great!

respect for Harrison Ford, perhaps the coolest man ever to live, arguably out-competing Aragorn but in real life
Still gorgeous, loved him from 'Witness' such a great movie (he was nominated for an Oscar). Omg when he was showing off his real ability at carpentry on that barn.. I swooned 😳😍
For me, it was the scene in the barn working on the car and that song on the radio...
And that's just for Witness, so many scenes in so many movies! And he's a pilot!
Whew! lol
Witness the most boring
Witness is brilliant and Harrison's performance is perfect. "Honey, that's great coffee!"
Omg I've had a crush since I was 10. Love him
I'm convinced his rugged charm will never get too old.... Indiana Jones is my dream guy - at any age!

Ford was a janitor turned actor (how do you like them apples =) when they were casting the first star wars movie. class act all the way, thank you mr ford
He was at the right place at the right time ✅💯
Actually, he was a carpenter by trade and still does it in his spare time today.
Lucas probably hired him as Han Solo because of 'American Graffiti'.
@Ganiscol exactly. He had built someone's (Sergio...
?) backyard recording studio, and I believe that's how he got the referral for his first film
@@Ganiscol ... He was building cabinets for George Lucas office and while he was there helped out by reading lines with actors auditioning to play Luke and Leia. Lucas liked how he sounded as Han Solo and hired him without having him do a formal audition or screen test!

Great interview 👍🏼
During the movie clip there was a moment when Harrison Ford's character was sizing up the angry crowd and he formed his lips in such a way that it just made me think back to Walter Brennan. Obviously a very different voice but all the class and strength of character in a western role of Mr. Brennan (3 Best Supporting Actor Oscars). Good interview all round.
Wyoming is a beautiful state. I’ve never seen the sky that huge since I went there about 15 yrs ago.
High prairie, big sky - I grew up in Alberta and it’s the same. You don’t have to go far to be away from city lights to see the stars blazing out of the night sky. There’s actually a darkness preserve in Jasper National Park, for people who think quietly enjoying a cool dark night sky filled with cold gems is mind blowing ❤
At 80 he still has it, gotta say I’d happily go there but I don’t think my back (or his) would appreciate it 😂😂😂

Stephen jus had to throw it out there that he actually made out with Helen 😂
He really mentions it every chance he gets. "Great story, sir. So is that a yes or no on having fries with that?"
If I had that story - EVERYONE would know it too.
That is such a ridiculously male narrative. He clearly stated himself that she made out with him.
I don't blame him. 😁
Hey Stephen, certified grass fed beef means that the farm has been certified that the cows are only fed grass and not grain.
Glad you said this. I got confused for a minute and was wondering if he was talking about certified weed free hay or grass fed beef. I think the latter is most likely the case.
That confused Harrison too, certified grass (Steve left out the) beef fed part.
Oh boy! How fast times change!

I love Harrison Ford ever since seeing him in in American Graffiti. He may be right about Montana, but I was stationed at Fort Drum, NY from February 2002 to Feb 2013 when I retired. There were many winters where Watertown, NY or Fort Drum would have the lowest temperature in the continental US for that day. Usually around 38 below zero. My wife told me it hit 40 below when I was in Iraq in 2007. I can't wait to see your show Harrison, keep up the great work. Best wishes. Shawn Smith
You definitely get the idea. I live in Butte. Here at -38 chances are kids are still going to school. We have broke -50 many times throughout history. I grew up in the mountains "above" Butte and we had a few times when I was a kid the wind chill hit -80.
One of the best!!
Thanks for your continuous love and support❤️. Where are you from and how long have you been a fan of mine?
Many of the scenes from the show were filmed right outside my apartment. I managed to get a couple pictures. My wife got to meet Harrison Ford when he came through our checkstand at Safeway. And I got to see his co-star when I stepped out of the apartment building. Dame Helen is a very lovely lady and a talented actress. I wish I got more time to talk to her. The drawback is that it made it difficult to get in and out of my apartment during filming and to find parking that wasn't two or three blocks away. But there is a moment when my apartment Windows made it into the film. They were kind enough to compensate for the use of my windows. Honestly simply asking if it was okay was enough. But the compensation at least allow me to afford a nice date night for my wife and I. Something we hadn't been able to do for awhile. So thank you goes out to the production crew. I look forward to seeing more filming. Maybe next time I'll wind up as an extra. It would be fun.
