You is the man bro. I was thinking of buying one from this lady and the car has great miles for the year and conditions it okay also . But she said it needs a throttle body reset and the issue is I believe what you just went through.
Hey! So glad I found your channel and all the helpful tutorials you have for 7th Gen Maxima. I recently bought one used 2011 145k miles on it, Looks like I might've been cheated with a problematic Maxima - The P0420 code came right after I bought it, Though I kept resetting it away would come back on after every 200-300 miles. Then it started coming along with the P0101 MAF code. Been doing a lot of research, Bought some catalytic cleaner and added it to my gas to run the cleaner through, Since then I haven't gotten the P0420 code however the P0101 would come on ever so frequently until I decided to buy another MAF sensor from Amazon. Replaced it, Peak performance for 1 day before the code came back on again. Since you mentioned your car went into Limp mode based on the MAF sensor specially mentioning the Cat codes as well. I'm wondering what the issue could be? MAF sensor? Throttle body? Catalytic Converter? Would appreciate any insight you might have. Appreciate It!
@@1700tums Well, that comment was 5 months ago. Ended up changing the MAF, and then it was the Cat code over and over - I replaced that too. Now there's no more codes and its completely cleared. However, I do find some random rough idling and sometimes hesitation to accelerate and sometimes it'll just go like brand new. So I'm not sure what's going on. No more codes on the dash though.
Yeah I did but from what one subscriber told me the wiring inside the throttle body is different for the reason it goes into limp mode from my experience it causes the car to drain the battery overnight, won’t communicate with the mass air flow sensor and everything else I stated in the video

Could be as simple as a overdue air filter, or a vacuum leak

@@ScorpionMultimedia So if i buy a 2014 throttle body, it wont have to be rewired? Sounds like that what you mentioned, I have 2013

If it don't say limp mode it's a transmission issue.
