Holy crap $217 a night at the k.o.a. I am glad I am retired military. I get to stay at the campground on the naval station key west for $30.00 a night or $700 a month with full hook-up water front. 3 nights at the K.o.a cost what I pay a month.
We are in Key West as I'm writing this, parking the RV at Naval Air Station Key West, available to all military. Getting ideas of what to do and see on our first trip to "The Conch Republic."

Thanks Robert! This brought back so many memories! I lived in the Keys for 10 months next door to the Sugarloaf KOA and I worked at the Key West Citizen. I evacuated due to Hurricane Irma and left the Keys at that time for more northern points! WOW! That KOA really has upgraded and expanded from what it was! I also really enjoyed going to Bahia Honda State Park and snorkeling on the many beaches there! I love your Florida Keys vids! They're what brought me to the channel several years ago and I love seeing the Keys through your eyes! There's so many unique places that you haven't even explored!!! "...Key West's unique architecture..." as he drives by the strip club!! 🤣🤣 Just a correction, too...what you called Smathers Beach was actually Higgs Beach. Smathers is a little further down the road. Thanks again for a fantastic visit to Key West!! I miss being there every single day!!

My husband and I have been to Key West nine times, planning for our 10th trip this year. I LOVE this video, Robert! You stopped in at some of our favorite places! The next time you stop in at Waterfront Brewery, if you haven't had them before, order the hot pretzels with in-house-made beer cheese. It's our favorite menu item there. Also, our big splurge for our last night is always Alonzo's for king crab legs. They're expensive, but so worth it! We spoil ourselves when we go down. Can't wait for the next video, but your Florida Keys videos, especially your Key West videos, will always be my favorites!

Nice video Robert. Kristine and I visited the Keys this past February for a few days. We didn't have our Winnie Minnie 5th wheel with us, but we stilled enjoyed it.
One of my favourite tours seen it several times and each time is unique, I don't recall seeing that tour anywhere else! And even if there wouldn't enjoy it, the place is awesome and you make it even better with your rich information, your captivating narration, soothing music and kind spirit. Dale! Adelante! Wow key West sure has gotten popular , dont remember it being that busy back in 1993 and there was no line to get a picture at the southern most point , still kind a nice but not my thing anymore , thanks for for taking me back memory lane a little , O yeah and I noticed the Red Garter establishment lol, do have some memories there lol.
It’s crazy that Pepe place looks so sad now, they use to be so busy in previous videos and even when I went down in 2021 it seemed “normal”. For the price of those mojitos that band should have more people. Anyway love your videos Robert!

My daughter & I went to Key West 2 yrs ago & loved it. Last week we both went on a cruise to the Virgin Islands & Bahamas & one moment while there your song “Key West” popped into our heads & we started singing it. Lol We will definitely go back to Key West soon!

We went last February and had a blast. One of the best treats is the KeyLime Pie dipped in chocolate on a stick. We went out on the boat to see the reef. My kids went fishing and jet skiing. So much to do there. Love to go back soon! Next time stay at a camp ground.

It’s been a while since we were in Key West. Love that place! We did the ghost tour and that was very fun. I would love to stay on the island in our camper.
Nearly $220 a night is outrageously expensive for an RV spot for the night, especially considering it's 20 miles from Key West. The entire Florida Keys have gotten far too expensive and it's become a rich man's playground. Your video is very good but the low availability and the price of rentals on the island is making it extremely hard for most employees to live there unless they have multiple jobs or multiple roommates. I lived on the island for several years but left four years ago. What I was paying for rent four years ago has since increased by 50-60%.
Your adventures are always amazing, and you show us to the wonders of traveling. We have been following you for a good many years and we have finally partially retired! Early on with our annual vacations, we traveled the 48 states camping and hiking when the kids when they were young in a van with a tent and many times pulling our popup! Just another quick note, we love your Micro Minnie RV so much, that we met the Winnebago folks at the Tampa's RV Show and received a great deal -- we did mention how wonderful your shows are, but we didn't get an added discount :). We also enjoyed talking of you and all your adventures! Thanks Robert and keep the wonderful videos coming and we always look forward to the next one. If someone ask, yes, we did buy the Micro Minne after seeing you in action in yours!
