9:14 so Hermles are safe to turn back? I have a Hermle Westminster chime that I stopped for an hour yesterday, so you’re telling me I could’ve turned it back? (Side question, how does that work exactly?)
Hermle movements are safe to turn back and they don’t have any problems after that. I normally stop my Regulator for 1 hour just to be on the safe side since when I got it the regulator had problems and I want it not to break. So that’s why I stop that one. Also my Regulator has a hermle movement.
If the clock has rack & snail striking, it can be turned counter clockwise. If it has count wheel striking, stop the pendulum for one hour. So you are partially correct.
Go watch the BTS live stream if you haven’t done so yet!!

The HM manuals say to turn them counter-clockwise. Ironic.

@@DGClocks Fell off the wall a few months back. Still haven’t figured out a new spot for it.
I don’t think it’s safe to turn clocks back like that. Stop them, wait for an hour, then start it back.
All of my Howard Millers can be turned back. The manuals also say to turn them counter-clockwise.
@@ogClockTV well, I don’t do that with my clocks, I simply just wait an hour and then start them back up and that should do.
@@thomasm.longiii3752oks that’s what you do you can do it either way
