THE RETURN! Which Westminster Chime Clock has the best chime in 2024? Let's find out!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лют 2025
- It has been 3 long years but I have returned with another Westminster Chime competition! The results for the 2021 competition were certainly released way later than they should have been but enough talk, we're back with another competition after hundreds of requests! Since the last competition, we have 7 new candidates. As such, this video is certainly way longer than the last.
Anyways, it's your turn to vote! Leave a comment with what you think is the best sounding clock. This competition will be open for a while so no need to worry about time.
Enjoy!

I forgot to say this in the video, but you are limited to picking only ONE clock to vote for. This will make it easier for me to calculate the votes.
Happy voting! I’ll have this up for a while.

You put Landmark twice.
@@kath4387 No, all the clocks featured in the video are mechanical.
It’s hard to pick between the Colonial and the Jennison, the Colonial has a nice rich deep tone and the Jennison has that nice tone that reminds you of the a grandpas wall clock. (If that makes sense)
But overall I like the Colonial the most.
The Colonial, 2:38
The Jennison: 24:58
I judge these by how much I would like to hear them in my home.
My pick is the Colonial, for its rich tone.
Your new Hade comes in second.
I am picky about these.
Thanks for the contest!
I'm not voting yet, just marking favourites:
10:41, 19:36, 21:07, 24:04, 27:00
And my vote goes TO: 10:41 !!! Landmark
New chimes you say? Sounds like a well tuned piano. I could live happily with that darling clock
Gotta go with the Westmont! It’s just too good in my opinion! You have a great collection of clocks in the shop!
Howard Miller Jennison in my opinion.
Here's my personal ranking:
1. Seth Thomas (my vote.)
2. HM Worthington
3. Colonial
4.Jennison
5. HM Graham Bracket
6. HM Westmont
7. Landmark
8. New Hamilton
9. Jauch
10. W. Haid

I'm going for the Colonial this year 😊
WHEN THE COLONIAL CHIMES, IT GIVES ME NOSTALGIA OF THE 1990S/2000S
I just love the sound of seth thomas, therefore it gets my vote.
Happy late birthday clock tv my vote is the Howard miller lawyer II!!
Nice choice
19:15 you move the minute hand too fast
I LIKE THE COLONIAL GRANDFATHER CLOCK, ITS CHIME SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING YOU WOULD HEAR IN A LIMINAL SPACE VIDEO
I think the colonial grandfather clock is the best sounding clock.
I’m late to the game, but I’d say the Colonial and a second and close runner-up is the Hamilton Headmaster. (Your old one). I want the Headmaster!
My top 10 personal ranking
1st-Colonial
2nd-Mascot
3rd-Seith Tomas
4th-Jauch
5th-Regulator
6th-New Hamilton
7th-Old Hamilton
8th-lamdmark
9th-HAC
10th-landmark
I love ur clocks! I would choose Howard Miller Regulator! I wish u can fix ur HAC clock! I want to see the HAC work. By the way early congratulations for getting to 50k subscribers! I will also chose the HAC and the Hamiltons. I am happy that the Japanese regulator is working yay.
Per the guidelines, you can only pick one clock.
@@ogClockTVI would choose Howard Miller Regulator
@@ogClockTVI love ur clocks. I just don’t know what clocks to choose cuz they are nice clocks. But I choose Howard miller Regulator
Me pick The hamburg American Clock- HAC
This was a hard decision because all of your clocks sounds great! I vote for the Howard Miller Regulator because 1. It's my favorite clock in your collection, 2. It's similar to my HM 612-488 triple chime Regulator.
My pick between all the clocks is the Colonial Grandfather.
If I could have the Hamilton Miller Joyce movement chimes with the HAC gong striking the hour, then I'd have the perfect clock for my home.
It's a tough one, but I think Seth Thomas gets my vote.
The Seth Thomas mantle clock is a nice one
Same
That's very cool because someone's Mr time clocks has them the time does Westminster
Im voting for the Grand Bracket, because it sounds very well.
I really like the Graham bracket too. It was a hard decision between the Graham bracket or HM Regulator
Howard Miller Westmont is my vote. The striking for both the melody & the hour strike, sound a lot better.
Great Clock Collection
@RyanWeinhold Good Choice I’ll check out your channel in fact I just subscribed
Just for me to tell you, the Howard Miller Westmont sounds like your Hamilton regulator
It does lol!
I chose the Howard Miller Jennison because I am still liking the chimes to this day
Its either the jennison or westmont for me
You can only vote for one clock as stated in the pinned comment that Kam replied. Which one do you like better the HM jennison or the westmont?
Colonial is amazing sounding and my favorite grandfather clock. It sounds great, so I'll keep listening to how each one sounds for this contest.
Emperor sounds a lot better than it did before. I'm glad the hammers are fixed and it sounds a lot better than it did 3 years ago. I'm happy it has been restored, but for now I'll keep listening to see which one sounds best in 2024.
Seth Thomas tambour is pretty great sounding, with the new movement sounding like it's a bit higher than before. I'm glad you fixed it by replacing the movement, and it still is a bit good. Have to keep listening to see.
The mascot does sound a bit similar to Thomas Tompion from when you did that competition between the mascot and Thomas Tompion. While one of the rods is worn out though still makes it sound good, I'm not too sure about it. It is a good clock that you built.
For the Howard Miller Graham bracket, I mean it sounds pretty nice with no hammer problems or anything. Though similar to others, it is nice while I keep watching.
As I mentioned before, Thomas Tompion is similar to the mascot except it's in a much better condition with the rods instead of the mascot. It is a very beautiful clock with very deep chimes, I'll keep listening and watching to debate it.
Landmark sounds so much better since I saw you unbox the rods on the last live stream. E major does sound pretty beautiful on it and I like it being a box style regulator mantel/wall clock. It might be close for me, but I'll keep listening.
Jauch is very pretty, and I do like how it chimes differently compared to the other Westminster chime mantel clocks. I do like how it sounds and I love that it strikes right after finishing the quarters. It might be possible, but I'll still keep thinking.
Ridgeway is pretty much the same sound as Graham, though the movement replacement makes it sound a bit better than before. Even though it still is nice, we have tons more to go.
For the Joyce, which is rare with a Kieninger movement, it sounds a bit better and not as quiet as before. It does sound better with the hammers adjusted, though I'll keep thinking.
For HAC, I still honestly feel very bad that it's in the worst condition and got last place in 2021. It still sounds nice though the chances of making it be running is nearly impossible since parts are nearing extinction, I have to think on that one while hearing the others that are competing. My only criticism is that it only strikes and no quarters on the top of the hour.
For the Howard Miller Worthington, I remember it won the competition in 2019 and didn't get many votes as it did in 2021. While I know this is the favorite clock of Nick (Boston Elevators and Aviation), it is also a favorite for me and I do like how it sounds. As I keep saying, have to listen to each one before I choose.
For the new Hamilton Headmaster, it sounds very pretty and a higher pitched version of Westmont. I do like the strike on it and just how it overall sounds. Time to keep listening to others and I do like the new Hamilton Headmaster.
As for Shelburne, despite still having movement problems it is truly one of the most iconic clocks in the shop having to win the 2018 contest and came in 3rd place in 2021. Though similar to some others, I'll keep on thinking and listening.
For the old Hamilton Headmaster, it does sound about the same as the new one though a bit weaker. I'd say not the best as the other Hamilton, but still nice.
For the 613-226, which I call the Jordan, it's about the same as mine though mine may need a bit of work with the rods or something. It still sounds pretty good and I do like it a lot.
Lawyer II is very beautiful. While it is the most expensive clock now and passes Jauch, it does have super deep sounding chimes.
Jennison is my favorite HM clock in the collection and my favorite clock ever, and I'm happy it won 2021's contest. It is a very pretty clock, and I need to think further on that one for 2024.
Westmont did have a hammer issue before and it sounds a lot better than before. It's pretty alike to the Hamilton clocks except deeper. I hope it'll do better and I still am thinking while only 2 clocks are left.
I did feel a bit bad for Sandringham when it went out of tune 3 years ago. As of now, it sounds a bit better though I like mine more with the original rods. I may give Sandringham a no for this one though it sounds good.
Haid is pretty good and I remember it from the last stream when you had it on another chime option. That one is a toughy for me, though it is pretty nice sounding.
So for me, it's pretty much a 5 breaker tie between Jauch, the new Hamilton, Lawyer II, Landmark, and Haid. Out of those 5, the vote is a tie between Landmark, Jauch, and Lawyer II. The one that will be my vote between those 3 is going to be Landmark. I'm voting for the Landmark Westminster chime box wall/mantel clock for the 2024 Westminster chime competition!
@@kansasclocksandsirens I didn't know that was when Colonial was made and where it was beforehand. That's a pretty good story on the Colonial grandfather clock
What chime rods are worn out?
What chime rods are worn out?
imo I would choose colonial triple-chime
this was a hard disition for me to make because all of the clocks sound really good, but I pick the colonial this time. and some of the clocks sound a lot better since you fixed them.
What was a hard decision for you to make for all of those clocks that sounded great?
@@cameronbateau6510 it was because the chimes on a lot of the clocks sounded very similar
All of your clocks sound great, but my vote is Colonial Triple-chime Grandfather Clock
the Howard miller Jordan 613-226 sounded the best
That Seth Thomas Tambor mental clock sounds just like my Linden, but I vote for the colonial grandfather clock
Good choice!
Long time I love Cox😊😊 2:11 😊 2:12 2:13 2:13 😊😊 2:03 😊😊😊😊
Haha I also did this concept two weeks ago
Yeah you did I watched your video!
Seth Thomas For the Win! (FTW)
Honestly the New Clock Sounds Nice!
(Kaid)
I think I’ll go with sandringham because it looks like the antique wall clocks I used to draw
I think the HAC because it's your first Westminster chime clock and it's unique.

Also, does my vote in here count in a month when this video was released?

Howard Millet Lawyer II
I’m picking the colonial grandfather clock
Jennison is still the best
10:46 i like the old chime
The New Hamilton
I think Seth Thomas Woodbury is the best
I’ll look for you an hac movement if you would like
That will be helpful because I want kam to get HAC working.
I HOPE THE COLONIAL WINS
I wonder if one of your clocks does MILITARY TIME (probably your phone does)
You know 1pm is 1300
2pm is 1400 etc
I think that I like the old Hamilton
I like the old Hamilton better than the new one because the chimes are more smoother.
EVERYONE!!!
😊
Why none of the battery operated westminster chime clocks like the cukoo one or the one next to Jordan?
I think he didn't do those because they only chime on the hour. The wall clock next to HM 613-226 is a Boston Clock Co. Wall clock and Kam also has a National Guard Quartz westminster chime mantle clock.
They don’t involve chime rods or wind up movements. As such, I am not including them.
I vote for the lawyer II
Me to
Seth Thomas Tambour
my fav is the Howard Miller Regular and why? classic to the channel and the chimes just sound good
Howard Miller Shelbourne Regulator.
I agree with you HM Regulator sounded the best in my opinion.
paries
Have you Tiktok?
No.
Bruh! Team Howard Miller Thomas Tompion is the BEST!
IL go for the Howard Miller Thomas tomphian

The HM sandringham sounds a lot better now that the chime rods and hammers are fixed.
