More than trackmania, Zerator is doing so many things for the french streaming community, making it much bigger than the streaming community of a lot of countries. The trackmania cup is one of the many events he's working on every years ^-^ (I know there's a lot of french whatching this but probably a lot of french non speaker too. French streaming community is REALLY active)
Update, I've seen the entire stream of Zera on the new TM (yes 4 hours, it was very long ^^') So, he annouced the TM Cup 2020 will be a cup like the old cup, so offline, SOLO. There is the dates : - Start of the mapping : 24 June - Release of the game : 1st july - Registrations : 15 july - Qualifying rounds : 18/19 july - Semi final and final : 26 july. Cash prize : 2020€ :D Zera said, the TM Cup which was annouced for Bercy, will be reported, not for this year, but he hope it can be report to june/july 2021. The difficulty here, is the accord hotel arena have some spectacles booked since february, so the TM Cup is not the only spectacle reported, so we wait a date, and Zera will tell us on Twitter or during a stream how it gonna be do. I actually agree with you, I think Zerator saved the game and just for that I'm glad he pushed so hard the game. Without him, TM2 would have probably been the last Trackmania...
Zerator is a genius. Taking the type maps I hate to play (uncalculated, long lolmaps im my initial thoughts) Which became the most enjoyable watching experience. TMGL has also made watching TM an absolute intense experience with building on the zrt style ideas in the form of identities. GG
This game is still not living up to its full potential. As a tm community we should make this game more epic. It needs to become famous at the same level as dota and league of legends' esports
@@VNCETM With your attitude it will stay a dead game with small community. DOTA and LOL might be a bit too far ahead, but Rocket League's numbers are totally reachable for TM.
The community is actually doing it. People have created crazy titlepacks such as RPG, TMPlus, Formula 1, Alpine, Raid... that represent a colossal number of hours of work. We have plenty of maps, assets and game modes. We have websites from which it is very easy to download all content. We have Xaseco and Openplanet. And here I'm just talking about most memorable things to me, there would be much more to say. However the way TM2 is thought, titlepack division, lack of a centralizing workshop, poor interface, cannot bring new players. Content creators are not to blame, neither are newcomers, it's the game that is not able to make the connection. Even Zerator, undoubtedly TM's #1 advertiser, maybe doesn't know about all these features I'm talking about, so how could others know?

I haven't followed the TM scene at all until TMGl last winter. Because people were talking so much about ZeratoR I decided to watch one of the ZrT TM Cup videos. Just listening to how the crowd reacts to some of the stunts the players had to perform on those tracks says everything. It's all about the show for the viewers and that's exactly what the game needs if it wants to stay strong. I really hope that the Identity game will go up with the new Trackmania.
To be honest I was didn't even know about THIS scale of the ZrT cup. Nadeo and Ubisoft should (must) really advertise these events to a non-TM audience
Let's be 100% honest here. ZeratoR did not "maybe saved Trackmania", he outright created a whole new community around it. The only downside to it is that, while this community is very active as viewers, they usually don't play the game outside of the ZrT cups periods.

Now it's clearer: the Zrt trackmania cup 2020 will take place online from July 24th to 26ty on the new game, and the 2021 edition take place at the accord-Arena (we don't have to say "accord-hotel-arena) on May 19th. Otherwise, great work and great video, thanks for the French subtitles 😊!
As a french guy, it's difficult for us to imagine that ZeratoR have an iffluence on the entire world of TM, but wow, your video demonstrate it thanks :)
To be honest i never heard of trackmania before i see the ZrtTrackmania cup, aswell as my friend. Now we all spend over hundred to thousand of hours on trackmania thanks to him. That's probably his biggest achivement on trackmania: helping a lot of players discover and enjoy this game.
The fact that I did watch one of the cup (on stream tho) with my mother who loves all type of sport but don't know a dam thing about video games and she actually enjoyed it say a lot about the ZRT cup I think

I'm not a Zerator fan. I like the guy but I do not watch his streams nor do I subscribe to him or anything. I'm also not a fan of Trackmania. Racing games arent just my sauce. YET I've been to the Trackmania Cup in Strasbourg and bought my ticket for the next one in Paris, I've donated on his charity events and I think he's doing an INCREDIBLE job. As an older gamer, just being in a stadium with thousands of people screaming and enjoying gaming, it's magical. Thanks your Zerator, continue like this mec
Very interesting, there were some facts that I didn't know even when I followed the ZrT Cups from the first edition! ^^ But ZeratoR did not promote Trackmania with the ZrT Cup alone, he also organized events on it like mini-cups for the streamers participating in his Z Event (event to raise funds for associations) and also in his Z Lan (multi gaming competition he started)
What a great summup men good job, very nice video. If ZeratoR wasn't making all those events and entertainment around the game, I would have never get into it (still a casual player by the way, just enjoying some tracks here and there) and now i'm just so hyped about the new TrackMania, only a few days to go !

Also would have been great to let the full anounce of Zerator for ZRT Trackmania cup 2020 cause it's so hype. And last, I feel like you don't point out enough the huge difference between Trackmania Grand League and Zrt cup. Nadeo choosed to do clean maps, not buggy ones and they opt for very long run instead of 1 minutes or more. They also changed the way points were calculated. you could loose all your points if you don't finish in the 8th or better position. That's very clever and I feel that this is the future of Trackmania. Sorry for my english.
Great video. It is nice to hear someone deeply invested in the community not talking trash about him. I think a lot of people, especially francophones, got into 1-playing the game and 2-the scene of Trackmania to watch an participate in weekly competitions because of him. I mean, I played TM before ZeratoR Cup but I would never has put that much hours in the game (even if it isn't that much to be honest) and following the international scene if it wasn't for the hype he built..

Maybe it's because I have a passion for calculated mapping and I still see myself more as a driver than a viewer. I still don't understand why the insane Stadium full-speed tournaments aren't more popular. Get in a professional caster, get some camerawork and it's super enjoyable to watch. The tracks and driving is already insane

You forgot to mention the Trackmania Cup that took place during the Zevent 2019 with CarlJr driving on a Just Danse's danse floor xD
Wasn't it in 2018 ? 2019 was duo, and I think player's challenge was to play blindfolded with their teammates guiding them ;)
It was not really a cup just a few map made for the Zevent and to make thing fair Carl had to use a dance floor
and also, CarlJr won on that dance floor mat, of course.
