@Rene Stanneveld I agree, but all SSDs (imho) are overpriced... what I really like about this OWC drive is the make quality.. that aluminum case is hearty af. I beat the crap out of my stuff too... we'll see if it lasts into 2021. 😂
Thanks Tom....just stumbled on to your video. Love OWC, but it's a trade off of speed with that Samsung T5 at a lower cost. So, do you create a new FCP project/Library on the external drive now? What's your general work flow for managing space while starting a new edit? Thanks (I just subbed)
Always been a problem for me... i also dont save my work.. once i edit and upload, i delete it all and start over again. Data management can get VERY expensive.... running my FCP edits w/ projects off this drive saves my computer HDD tho.
I agree with you on the price. Samsung has their new SSD mega small drive (no that’s not the name of the drive) for cheaper however the speeds are not what this company is claiming. Great video bro!
Absolutely, but then again, Samsung really has the security SSD space on lockdown. I think, in my humble opinion, a company like OWC would be perfect with their product quality to steal a piece of that pie. Appreciate you being here as always. 👊
@@TomDeCicco I just ordered the RAVpower file hub, which then plugs into the ssd hard drive. I’ll let ya know how it works for backing up vids while traveling. ✌🏻
I'm so in-line with the apple ecosystem that I will probably never move back to a PC.... and if I do, it will only be to stream. I'd love to heat what you’d d throw in a PC build and for what price tho.. 👍

I got the older version of owc ssd 1T , it started to crash on my mac mini . The ssd keeps ejecting and finally corrupt the MAC OS.
Can you transfer a micro SS card directly to this?
No. But, look up Gnarbox... that product transfers backups directly from card. 👍
