I can tell that Mayor Richard Gomez had a very happy and normal childhood. Very grounded, simple and humble. He really deserves to be called one of the greatest actors of all time and most of all one of the most outstanding mayors in our country. Saludo mi nimong tanan Mayor!
Amazing and Delicious Filipino Home Cooking. Appreciate your time and information on all your cooking vlogs. Keep up the excellent quality and work on these outstanding vlogs.
Looks so yummy, I also love monggo so I’m going to cook it also the way you did it. Thanks so much for sharing my idol Hon. Mayor Richard Gomez. Keep safe!
Mayor Richard I knew you as artists, sports mind person but the real good of you shows who you are Lalo na sir sa cooking you're good and great sa akin kasi ok Ang cooking mo with knowledge pa sa background ng mga recipe at condiments specially puro tanim m pa Ang nagamit. Keep up the good work I'll pray sa family mo. Mabuhay ka Mayor.
My husband and I enjoy watching you cook. We can tell you really enjoy cooking and sharing your passion for cooking. The stories are an added bonus. Thank you!!!
Wow fave ko yan monggo. Galing mo magluto Goma. Poging cocinero linis2x ng kitchen nio. Take care pag nghihiwa kau mukhang matalim ung knife. Saludo ko sau Sir Goma.keep up the good work. More recipes to come.
Never imagined that monggo could be prepared this way but it sure is intriguing, i can already taste the flavors inside my mouth just by watching. I was dying when you used the word bitter as a metaphor, that was funny but partly true. Your ability to make a good rapport with your audience is what makes it fun to watch you cook, and you make it easy to follow the recipe by incorporating humor in what you’re doing. I’d really like to see you do your own take on caldereta or menudo, that would be nice.
Learned more Filipino cooking from you than from my parents/grandparents. In lolo's defense, he cooked for Irish priests so it was all meat and potatoes growing up - but munggo has always been my favorite and this is supercharged and next level! Really love the little twists on these seemingly humble dishes. May I take you at your word and request a Visayan dish with kamansi and kadyos whose online versions with jackfruit are not at all what lola made some 40 years ago (her dishes were taken over by the northern and Western palettes so it's my only memory of anything remotely Visayan). I'm hard pressed to find kamansi in New York, but watching you cook it from Leyte would be, well, like time traveling to her childhood back in Antique. I imagine your day job keeps you plenty busy, but thanks for the time and the channel - truly one of the few good things I found during this global lockdown.
Ang ganda ng lutuan ni sir Goma, pag mamahaling kaldero at kawali sarap lutaan kasi lalabas talaga ang natural flavor ng niluluto mo, salt ang pepper lang masarap na.
I love monggo but i haven’t tried cooking it with coconut cream. thank you for sharing this recipe i will definitely try cooking this . Be safe and healthy po.
Ikaw ang tunay na idol sana tumakbo ka sa pagka Senador, para buong pilipinas ang iyong matulungan, lalo na sa Sport.Napaka low Profile mo po Sir,simple at tunay na pilipino.Saludo po ako sa iyo since then.Double Thumbs up Sir..

We used to own an apartment building, and lived in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines. Place where I grew up, and stayed until grade school, right after elementary, I moved to my father’s province to study high school. After the secondary education I went back to Quezon City for college. Also lived in Baguio City for a year, again back to Quezon City, and finished college in the 90s. Way back then I used to play with my childhood friends on the street until dark, with that being said, we have these different sort of Filipino street games, tumbang preso, luksong baka, chato, patintero, and SUMPIT. Mr. Gomez had mentioned the latter in this vlog. Sumpit was a seasonal game, we get our MUNGO (ammo) for Sumpit at the wet market (Palenke). Basically, we don’t buy we just grabbed, it’s kind of a five fingers thing. Would you believe that when tinderas see us approaching they started yelling, telling everyone to cover their Mungos, covering was a deterrence, sort of a defense mechanism so we can’t get a hold of them, one of the things they could do aside from we were getting yelled out. Actually, back then Mungo is being sold in front of a open retail store, and was accessible thus so easy to grab.. Okidoki enough of the silly crime. Also we have this [thing] called fiesta celebrated every year, there’re games to play, and prizes to win. Apparently, time passes, and everything have changed. This recent visit, I saw a big difference, there’re more structures that have been built, and streets looks small. You know what? Maybe it was just an unorthodox seeing those streets small because I have grown up, and got older, hence, it’s giving me a sense of false information, in a second thought, they’re really looked smaller. Nevertheless, I do have a lot of good memories there, and that really counts.👌
Natutuwa akong pinapanood kita Mayor! Simpleng tao k lng talaga at napakahumble mo Gusto ko ung mga luto mo dhil simple at Pinoy dish Magaling k.magluto ❤
