ABOUT ME
Hello there! My name is Daniella Perera and I’m an artist, vlogger and voiceover talent based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. A question, why didn't you travel on the Thalys? The slow route would take about 5 hrs and 20 minutes, Thalys around 4 hrs. What is more, it is cheaper at €78 versus €176 for the slow route. (I chose to travel a month from today, mid week, rail Europe)
We didn't travel Thalys because it was much more expensive! You're so lucky it's working out cheaper for you - the trains are nicer and you have a secured seat too. This trip was booked about a month in advance. From what I've seen, ticket prices fluctuate depending on how far in advance you book, and also what days you travel.
@@pocketlighthouse I tend to plan everything in advance, as Dutch do normally. That means I book at least one month in advance. It helps both for travel and staying. The only problem I normally have is the return journey, though mostly in the EU it is easy to book 2 days in advance. Then it would make sense to travel with a détour via Germany. Once returned to Eindhoven from Lyon, Paris then to Aachen and on to Eindhoven.

Is it better to take Train to Brussels or Bus from Amsrerdam?
I'm afraid I've never tried taking a bus to Brussels before.
