This was helpful.... Finally... Thanks man Everyone else is using that straight razor and I wanted to use normal razor like you but was confused how to...so this helped
Love the Practicality of this video - i like only tell us what we need to know and the instruction is on point - great video mate gonna utilise this info tonight when i trim down beard - thanks your content Man 👊
THANK YOU! I really dislike those really obviously lined up beards and also dislike my side profile and jaw shape was a big reason why. This saved me man.
Great video! I will definitely try trimming the beard in a straight line across the neck instead of following the curvature next time! Also, what trimmer do you use, and can you recommend it? Mine recently broke so I'm looking for a good one, esp. with high RPM so the lines are extra crisp.
Let me know how it goes! And yes I’m using the Remington Barba Beard Trimmer. I have a review of this beard trimmer on my channel if you would like to watch it, I will put the link below. ua-cam.com/video/aOhHKIGAlug/v-deo.html
Yes that’s right, so two fingers above the adams apple. And the line starts just above from where the top of your two fingers are. Hope that makes sense?
Hey mate. Grades means the different lengths you can adjust your clipper to, to get your desired length of hair. grade 0 being the shortest grade, grade 1 being slightly longer and grade 2 being longer than that etc. let me know if have have any more questions
@@mikebald1 got it. i use a reminginton smart trimmer so i can get it down to specific mm length. what would you recommend for the goatee and and the rest of the beard in mm?
Good question, I would say around 6-7mm on the goatee if you want it to look a bit longer. And then slightly shorter on the cheeks, around 5mm. But the best thing to do is experiment as it all depends on an individuals beard density etc. and of course, when experimenting, start at a longer length and work your way down to your desired length. Hope that helps bro :)
Probably one of the most to the point, no BS videos out there. Thanks for keeping it 100% G
Thank you mate, I really appreciate it!
@@mikebald1 it is, indeed. thank you for sharing it!
@@mikebald1what clippers are those ???
@ these are the Remington quick cut, I have a review of these clippers on channel here: ua-cam.com/video/0mrP480kKx4/v-deo.htmlsi=DAaftK9K_8ntJT3w
@@mikebald1 ok thanks
This is the best video I've come across so far for maintaining a shorter beard. Thank you sir
Thank you mate I appreciate it
@@mikebald1 I find that getting one of those trifold mirrors from amazon really helps a lot with edging the "sideburn line'
you positioned your head differently in the thumbnail to give a false impression. I condemn such tricks
You must be high lol
Take a chill pill😂
This is the best video I’ve seen explaining everything thank you man
No problem at all mate. Thanks for watching
Thanks bro, for the beard machine and for the video, this is very helpful, which shaving trim size do you use?
No worries mate. I normally use from 3mm-5mm. Or about grade 1-6 on my trimmer and blend it all in as shown above
This was helpful.... Finally...
Thanks man

No problem mate, I’m glad it helped
I was looking for the best way to shape up my beard, and most instruction video's just weren't clear enough. Thank you Mike!

Cracking quality I assumed you had 20k subs
Thank you mate 👍🏽
Didn’t have my father to teach this , so thank you for showing a detailed breakdown brother. 💯
No problem brother, I’m glad I’ve been able to help!
Now we can call him our stepdad
After this video. I have the best beard ever. And I have had a beard for 12 years 😆. Thank you.

No worries man, I’m glad I’ve been able to help. I agree, the obviously lined up beards don’t look as good as a more natural look
What lenght do you keep your mustache and chin area? Great video btw
Good question, from memory around 4mm on the moustache and around 5-6mm on the chin. Thanks for watching mate

@@mikebald1 Thank you very much!
I'll let you know how it went when my beard is long enough to trim it again :P
Sounds good! :)
Great video, I will tell my flatmate to watch
Thank you!
what length clipper are you using?
It varied throughout the video mate but I believe it ranges from about 1cm to 4mm
The head tilt nack and forward from pic 1 to pic 2 is alsonto blame for this one
Thanks
No problem!
getting the lines even/symmetrical is the hardest thing to do
Definelty is, but the more you do it, it becomes second nature and much easier
Wow this video came at the right time for me.
Awesome, I’m glad to have helped bro :)
So the 2 fingers are ABOVE the adam apple so the line is like 1 finger « after » the adam apple ? A bit lost in might admit lol
Thanks for the video !
Yes that’s right, so two fingers above the adams apple. And the line starts just above from where the top of your two fingers are. Hope that makes sense?
Thank you brother
No problem
1:33 i fcked up this part
Don’t worry man, that’s the hardest part. Just takes a bit of practice. Is there any improvement on the last time you did it?
I tried this and the only 3 little hairs I can grow really pop out
This made me laugh 😂

Best video like others said
Thank you mate
Step 1 - Have a beard 😢
true, you need facial hair for this tutorial to work? Have you tried letting your beard just grow for 2-3 months to see your potential?
Very bad, now when you open your mouth to eat the beard will go up on your cheek. The two finger method is good but do not go from the jaw bone corner
That only happens if you go too high on the jawline. The way that I’m showing prevents this as I have made that mistake previously
👍👍👍👍👍
Ur blad shape is a stright line.
Yes mate it is
When I look at 6:13, I feel like the original natural look honestly looked better. Just my two cents.
You probs prefer a longer beard since it looks darker, just needs to be shaped up and you'll be good to go
