I mean even if it's really windy the grill still shouldn't catch on fire. He probably never cleaned the thing. My dad's grill caught on fire recently because it had so much grease accumulated in the bottom it just went up in flames and was hard to put out.
@removeitprosdemolition not me still waiting to hear for friends and family downsouth. I'm in Bakersfield. It's unreal. Like you said in another video. Fire is like an animal . Some folks have smoke damage even without being burnt. Narrow streets in and out of these places. And not much room to build wider streets. The wind was crazy strong. I'm 66 and can't remember it being like that. Thanks for asking.
Sanibel lost several of homes and garages after Ian, due to EV batteries shorting out from the salt water on them. Gas Grill: I refurbished by grill with new burners after Ian, but had to trash it after Milton. The cover was stainless steel, but the frame and inside was just steel. Anyone else?
This should be a good video for those armchair California fire experts. High winds, one property and it took four hours to put out so imagine hundreds of houses on fire at the same time in even higher winds. My neighbors house burned down 6 years ago and we live literally less than a mile from the fire station and that took hours to put out with several trucks there and it still burned completely to the ground.
@@removeitprosdemolition My neighbor's house not mine. He did very well, we all suspected he burned it down. Family out of town, he was gone with the dogs at his office at 1am and he was able to build a house that cost twice as much as what he bought that one for.
Dave you ever hear of hardhats your walking through an unsafe location without a hardhat . the boat in the water is salvageable pump the water out of it and a few minor repairs its good to go . people who live in these rich areas have zero clue about money a boat worth maybe 100 grand writen off hell any middle class guy would be happy has crap to own and fix a boat like that .
For the workers the hardhats will be a must. I am one of those guys that would salvage that boat. I would not now simply would not have the time. Removed hundreds of boats doing it quick and fast and without damaging property is the key.
It was however a complete lack of common sense. You NEVER run any type of grille close to a house, possibly under that overhang (very likely because of the wind), in windy conditions. This was totally avoidable. Eat cold foods, or move the grille well away from the house on the leeward side to help block the wind.
its very obvious rich guy here never ever gave a thought to a fire breaking out in his mega beach house. I own a 1000 foot house and have 4 fire extinguishers and multiple fire blankets. I expect a fire shit happens. Should of had at least one or two commercial large fire extinguishers on that lanai. This guy is so rich he should of had a professional fire extinguisher system in that house.Especially if you have kids. At least at minimum an extinguisher in the kitchen one in the master bedroom one or 2 in the hall closet. He had nothing I bet. A big one in the garage. Multiple fire blankets on the lanai and in the kitchen. The ones in the red bag you pull out and put on the fire. They work. Gives you time to grab the extinguisher. If your a rich guy call a fire protection co many of them in this area and let them do there thing. Or suffer a loss like this. All there personal belongings are gone and there standing on the sidewalk with there kids watching the house they agonized for months building it burn to the ground. Bet there was whole lot of shouda's and coulda's then. Lucky no one got hurt.
Too funny, I had a commercial property that I sold that the new owner was going to teardown so I took all the fire extinguishers out of it and I have them all over my house. I even have one next to the furnace. I must have at least 7 around the house.
@@venom5809 Like Dave said the flames probably were very high and touched that cheap plastic stripping on the ceiling and the whole porch ceiling caught on fire real quick. if you have a new home you better have fire extinguisher equip becasue everything in new construction now is shit made in china or mexico the lumber is quick growth shit that crap that will go up in flames real quick. if that guy had the fire blankets they sell in red bags on that lanai he could have stopped it. Should not have been grilling under there anyway. Just pull the blanket out of the hanging bag and place it on the fire. They work.
Thank you it's nice to see something different
You are welcome! Thanks for watching.
Dave it’s always a pleasure to watch your videos. You share great insight to your world
Thank you for the encouragement
Who runs their grill anywhere near their home when there's hurricane force winds out? What am I missing?
A brain and comencens
stupid people
I thought the same. Not near the house, but under the overhang.

Curious about that.
Very sad. I live in Southern California so I can relate on some level. God bless you all
Are you impacted from the Cali fires?

Yeah and everything rusts faster close to the salt water. I think its in the air!

I wonder if the spiral staircase outside is salvageable. That is if you can get it out of the concrete.
Good luck!
Might be the only thing

It really is sad!
Insurance fraud, all I,m saying, test the grill for incendiaries , petroleum based.
Possible, we weren't there.
The gas in the tank is petroleum based, so I don't think anything will show up.
I have to wonder if this was intentional.
doubt it
