I love his versatility far more than his vocal acrobatics, this is a man who never stops studying music and moving in new directions. He constantly proves that there's nothing he can't do. In the last couple of months he's gone from performing a full operatic duet with one of the world's greatest operatic tenors Maestro Placido Domingo in The Pearl Fishers Duet to releasing a blues/rock song called When I've Got You complete with a vampire themed music video. He's always got something new and exciting up his sleeve, it's never boring being a Dear.
Plus performing with hundreds of people in Chinese festivals, jazzing up a kazak folk song in Dudurai, doing a new version of Battle of Memories, very James Bond, and introduced the song Smoke at his Hong Kong concert, doing the acoustic version of Omir with his brother , whilst preparing for the two may concerts. Oh. And he keeps studying English and doing humanitarian work!!
No worries about his breathing capacity. Dimash swims regularly a full length in local swimming pool while holding his breath just as added strength for his lungs for singing.

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that. The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. Igor Krutoy, whom both the announcer and Dimash called out, is a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. He wrote this song for Dimash. The Ave Maria you saw is not one that you have heard before, because it was also written for Dimash by Igor Krutoy. It is so simple and breathtakingly beautiful.
That's a Kobyz, or Qobyz played by the talented Olzhas Qurmanbek, a Kazakh native like Dimash. Stranger does get blocked a lot so filters are necessary. Dimash definitely puts on an incredible show. New Wave is a competition show for young singers/performers in Sochi, Russia. Igor Krutoy, the man on the piano is one of the founding members. Don't worry, no one was competing against Dimash here, he was a guest performer and Stranger was premiered here. Igor Krutoy wrote the music and Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, but it was Dimash's idea to add the Qobyz.

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that.
The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter.
As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable.
Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
He wrote this song and others especially for Dimash’s wide vocal range.

I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. Igor Krutoy, whom both the announcer and Dimash called out, is a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. He wrote this song for Dimash. The Ave Maria you saw is not one that you have heard before, because it was also written for Dimash by Igor Krutoy. It is so simple and breathtakingly beautiful.
That's a Kobyz, or Qobyz played by the talented Olzhas Qurmanbek, a Kazakh native like Dimash. Stranger does get blocked a lot so filters are necessary. Dimash definitely puts on an incredible show. New Wave is a competition show for young singers/performers in Sochi, Russia. Igor Krutoy, the man on the piano is one of the founding members. Don't worry, no one was competing against Dimash here, he was a guest performer and Stranger was premiered here. Igor Krutoy wrote the music and Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, but it was Dimash's idea to add the Qobyz.

The man who appears on the piano is Igor Krutoy, he is the composer who made the music and lyrics.
He sings with his diaphragm and does breathing work by swimming. His high notes are from classical singing and he mixes them with the mix voice
Just one correction. Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics. Igor is a great composer but rarely, if ever, writes the lyrics to his compositions.
