This is easily one of the best Batman statues ever made. Sculpt, paint, concept, pose, presence. All great. Having said that, the major issue with this was the design of the cape. Not that it looks ugly, it looks amazing. But that in shipment it probably had a 80% likelihood of breaking. The design should have broken the cape/trench coat into two sections for transport and assembly. But once repaired, it is virtually unnoticeable. So overall, still one of the best looking Batman statues ever and a must have for any Batfleck fan 👍
Completely agree. Total ball drop by the factory imo in terms of production design. I think a design assembly like the Sideshow Batman Who Laughs would have worked. Since I had to break the first one in order to get a replacement, you could see the torso was glued to the legs with the trench coat in the middle, so it seems it was already casted this way. Still the statue hits all the marks for a movie piece, sculpt, paint and concept.
Great video!! Sorry about the break. I have the same one and mine too had the same break on the coat. Was able to get it fixed professionally.
Thats great you were able to get it professionally repaired., affordable, I hope? When I have contacted repair guys near me in the past their cost was almost as much as the statue.
It was frree repair from the company. They have repair pros that do the jobs for free if you piece came in that way.@@KingDarkcross
This statue is one of the best batman statues ever made, and most realistic statue in general
Weta did an incredible job with the likeness and overall realism of the statue. The details in the sculpt are amazing, I may post 360 video later to highlight some areas I forgot, also noticed my video got out of focus in the last few minutes.
Picked this up recently. No damage to the coat but there is a noticable gap where the upper torso is attached to the waist. Torso wasn't pushed down enough.
I am annoyed with it but still like the statue.
Glad to hear there were no breaks. Checking out the one I had to destroy it seems the coat is sandwiched between the legs and torso, similar to SS BWL, they should have taken notes from that design to avoid breaks. Seems this last batch had bad QC or molding/assembly.

Good video man. We got no breaks in ours that we shipped or received. So weird man. I hope you get it fixed.
Thanks. I glued mine using epoxy, Weta is providing compensation. It may be this particular batch, Weta did say in their email it’s a common break during shipment, a few collectors on Batman Statue Collector said they received broken ones including replacements.

Just received mine and opened lastnight and also broke . My cape is broke off exactly where you think yours might have previously been Broken . Clearly the packaging should have had more thought put into this piece .
Sorry to hear. Ever since i started posting my review on FB I got a lot of replies from other collectors that had the same break. Personally I think this last batch was poorly made by the factory, along with packaging. Hope you can get a replacement or money back.

@@MrGizmo5602 Weta would only do 1 replacement, I could either return for a refund or keep and get a % off. After posting the vid a lot of collectors replied they also received theirs damaged, might be this batch. I opted to keep.
@@KingDarkcross it is badass I probably would have done the same. Especially if you take a look around no one has done ben with that costume, which I love. I did order the queens Studios one coming out later this year
