I keep the live action close to each other but they are mixed with the comic ones. Doesn't throw anything off unless you get close and see some are based off actors. Guests or non-comic fans that have come over can't really tell the difference.

@@joshuastephens3051definitely if you liked the Snyder designs it’s a great pick up, unfortunately the Black Friday inventory is long gone but if you can get for under 400 I would say it’s a good deal since it had been on sale from retailers for that price for months.

@@MrGizmo5602 they are well made and the likeness is really good. My Batman had issues in shipping but other collectors arrived in one piece. What I don’t like is the base for both Batman and Joker were a bit too big and really heavy but there environment sculpt and paint app are some of the best in my collection.

I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I’m actually a bigger Marvel fan than DC comic wise. I’m just glad this was made, as I am a big fan of the Snyder films.

@@Arynex thanks for watching…same here, I’ve wanted this since it came out but bought the Wonder Woman instead, which took longer to sell out than this Ex. Out of the 1/4 options, I think it has the best balance of sculpt, pose and base. P1 looks cool but I’m not a fan of the base, same with some recent customs even when they have story bases it’s too basic.

@@rw8126 undersized. I’m a size 10 and got a 10, it’s a bit too tight on my right foot. The Deadpool version I got an 11, it’s comfortable but slightly too big. I would say go atleast 1/2 size up.

@@LuckNyu really? I wouldn’t be surprised since i am sure it is not licensed. Anyone have the white version?

@@dubking024 I am normally a size 10, I have the Wolverines in 10 and they are a bit tight. The Deadpool’s are 11, they are comfortable but slightly too big. So I would say get atleast 1/2 size up.

@@ramtruth3 completely agree, still one of the best Doom statues licensed or unlicensed. I have a custom coming in the next 2 weeks, I will do a video of that and compare with this one.

You can try EBay or StockX many are being sold for 40-50 above retail.

Nice! Wear them. Based on photos I like the look of Deadpool better than Wolverine. My Wolverine’s arrive on Wednesday, I’ll do a quick review of that one too. I am not really a sneaker collector so I don’t know how limited these are or if they are.

Glad to hear there were no breaks. Checking out the one I had to destroy it seems the coat is sandwiched between the legs and torso, similar to SS BWL, they should have taken notes from that design to avoid breaks. Seems this last batch had bad QC or molding/assembly.

@@YOUDODEADLIFT I really like it although I prefer the Harbottle version from a few years ago...I am waiting for production pics, I have had a couple statues with blood splatter usually it doesn't look good when done by the factory.

Thanks. He is definitely one of those old characters that are rarely used and will probably never see in statue form again.

For sure one of the best Bowen mini-busts I owned, the only issues are the teeth and color of the tendrils. Bowen overall does a great job, l had about 72 full statues and 22 busts years ago only the Annihilus FS and Black Widow Variant FS had bad paint jobs. I still have the Arcade MB, I probably do a quick review but I dropped it while cleaning it one year and broke 8 fingers 😞

Sorry I think this is long sold out. Best chance is to buy from FB or EBay. Original price was 350, I wouldn't pay too much more as the materials do not feel as solid as some other statue makers.

Thanks. Yeah this is the only licensed Gladiator. People have made at least 3 unlicensed customs. I recently did a review of one of them on my channel. At the end of the video I do compare this one with the custom.

Yeah there was a deluxe version that came with a switch out hentai torso, never considered getting that one. I mainly wanted it to be somewhat game accurate.

Sorry to hear. Ever since i started posting my review on FB I got a lot of replies from other collectors that had the same break. Personally I think this last batch was poorly made by the factory, along with packaging. Hope you can get a replacement or money back.

@@MrGizmo5602 Weta would only do 1 replacement, I could either return for a refund or keep and get a % off. After posting the vid a lot of collectors replied they also received theirs damaged, might be this batch. I opted to keep.

@@DarkcrossCollection it is badass I probably would have done the same. Especially if you take a look around no one has done ben with that costume, which I love. I did order the queens Studios one coming out later this year

Yeah I could see it, also the art design they made him really bulky so he looks larger than my other 1/4.

I also broke mine! One snapped off and when I tried glueing it back on I dropped it and the other one broke.

@@DarkcrossCollection I'm not even going to attempt to fix mine. It will only come off again if I dust it. To be honest it doesn't look too bad now both sides have snapped off. I'll send you a pic on facebook(that's where i saw this video)

Thanks. I glued mine using epoxy, Weta is providing compensation. It may be this particular batch, Weta did say in their email it’s a common break during shipment, a few collectors on Batman Statue Collector said they received broken ones including replacements.

Agreed. I think the new one has a better sculpt and paint but I grew up with the classic one, looks more like Poison Ivy to me.

Yeah the newer base and paint work is more involved tonally but that aside, im just hooked on the sculpt flow and curvy proportions/pose of the classic figure more. 🙂

Completely agree. Total ball drop by the factory imo in terms of production design. I think a design assembly like the Sideshow Batman Who Laughs would have worked. Since I had to break the first one in order to get a replacement, you could see the torso was glued to the legs with the trench coat in the middle, so it seems it was already casted this way. Still the statue hits all the marks for a movie piece, sculpt, paint and concept.

Weta did an incredible job with the likeness and overall realism of the statue. The details in the sculpt are amazing, I may post 360 video later to highlight some areas I forgot, also noticed my video got out of focus in the last few minutes.

Thanks just wish it didn’t come broken. Now Cavill Superman and I’m good.

Thats great you were able to get it professionally repaired., affordable, I hope? When I have contacted repair guys near me in the past their cost was almost as much as the statue.

It was frree repair from the company. They have repair pros that do the jobs for free if you piece came in that way.@@DarkcrossCollection

No I sold it and bought SS Doom on Throne. Personally of the 1/4 scale licensed Psylocke’s I think this X-Force version is the best. The sculpt by Maria is amazing, in person the portrait it beautiful and the factory did a great paint app. I recently saw one sell on FB for under 1K by a reputable seller. You may get lucky since it’s hard to sell these days.

@@DarkcrossCollection there are a few selling at the moment but they are insanely expensive. I've not had much luck on FB marketplace in the past. People generally block me immediately after I message them for inquiries which makes zero sense to me. It's quite frustrating because I'm a legitimate buyer with the money, and I have been collecting for many years. I guess people are paranoid or something. Who knows. For aftermarket I usually buy through eBay or Mercari and have had good experiences there. Well, thank you very for getting back to me. I hope you're liking your Doom on throne. I do think I will pursue this version of Psylocke. From your video so really does look incredible. All the pics I’ve seen of the skin tone are amazing, best Ivy Sideshow has made imo, even the factory pulled it off, very close to proto.

It is, I don’t know why I said plastic. The portraits are very light, so I think they are probably hollow.

I have the deadly nature in skin tone and the added contrast for the piece is absolutely gorgeous! I think it's the most detailed piece of all of the sideshow statues I have

I watched your review the other day, flesh looks great. Yeah before emailing SS I went on statue forum and confirmed the teeth are supposed to look like that.
