      I studied microbiology. There actually is a lot of promise to this vaccine for people currently with HIV!
      Right now HIV is very effectively controlled with anti retroviral medicines, to the point where HIV positive people can lead healthy lives almost as long as HIV negative people, and even to the point where HIV positive people cannot pass on their HIV to others. But because it's a medicine, they must keep taking it for the rest of their lives - their bodies themselves have no internal way of defending against the HIV that's inside of them - all protection needs to come externally from medication.
      Having an HIV vaccine would allow their bodies to start producing broadly-neutralizing antibodies to the HIV that's in their bodies, which means their bodies will now have its own way to combat the virus. This has big implications, including the possibility of getting off medications and possibly having their own immune system suppress the virus enough to perhaps never let them progress to AIDS.

    Very encouraging. The mRNA method appears to really be a game-changer in terms of how vaccines are developed. Maybe we'll get a good vaccine for HIV out of this. I think what they should do is somehow make a stem cell be the ultimate killer of the HIV virus. Cause stem cells can literally transform into anything in our bodies lol so I'm wondering why they dont just make it a Natural HIV virus killer. Like T Cells specifically are for viruses but unfortunately not for HIV. Maybe we need to make an HIV killer Cell within our own bodies? Like maybe take an HIV viruses DNA, put it inside a stem cell and see what happens. Then put a T Cell DNA inside & see what happens. Idk I'm not a immunologist or virologist etc lol

    • @Hansulf
      @Hansulf 3 роки тому +2

      @@inactive2305 The problem is that you body does actually have Tcells agains HIV, they are not enough. First, because there is a small reservoir of virus which T-cells cant recognise because they dont express any protein. 2. Because activated Tcells are what HIV mainly infects and they become infected when they aproach other infected cells.

      Why would you want to move to the US when there are better places all over Europe (if you are looking for a western lifestyle) ? If you're not gay you could go litteraly any place else and you will be well off. I'm gay and pro democracy (the real one, not flawed one) so my best options are the Nordic countries. In most places in Africa or the middle east, eastern europe, most places in Asia and Latin America I would be unwelcome.

      @@Jakub2 Well I suppose no other country would have the same "bigger everything" vibe as the US, whatever that means. But the language difficulties would be inexistent in the Nordic countries, or even Germany, as people there have some good English education. Of course, if you plan on living there long term you are going to have to learn the language, but it shouldn't be a big deal. As a French person, I managed to reach fluency in English, I also have learned German and Spanish at school to the point I could become fluent if so I chose (Which I don't expect because I don't need to). And I plan on learning another language in the years to come because I expect to move out to some Nordic country. Really, learning one new language should not stop your progression in life. People are meant to learn languages. It's not rocket science.

      Not at all, I just did my research and found rhe very specific place that suits my needs. If you want my reasons, rhe main ones are :
      -The quality of the democracy. Most western "democracies" are categorized as "flawed democracies" for a reason.
      -I am not a car person. It goes in pair with ecological awareness and having a healthy lifestyle. If I want to be able to bike everywhere and not fear for my life, this is the place.
      -This has to do with the democracy, but I particularly like countries around Belgium and the Netherlands because they don't have the usual "national myth". We have that in France and it is a pain. It's hypocritical (and historically inaccurate) to assume every French people must be some descendant of Vercingetorix. Belgium and the Netherlands are populated by various groups and the government has to acknowledge that. I feel it's a healthier foundation for a country.

      @andystover5847 3 роки тому +3

    • @andystover5847
      @andystover5847 3 роки тому +2

      Everyone, mRNA is a normal part of every cell. CRISPR is not. CRSIPR and mRNA are not synonymous. It's much like All beagles are dogs, not all dogs are beagles. CRISPR requires guide mRNA but every mRNA is not CRISPR. Remember how mRNA works, it is the message composed of ribonucleic acids that is a product of transcription and goes on to translate into proteins. This is how mRNA vaccines function, no CRISPR, no gene editing. mRNA is degraded shortly after the proteins are translated. There are many ways for mRNA to function, CRISPR is a very specific way which requires the CAS protein which is not involved in mRNA vaccines like this or the covid vaccines. CAS proteins are found only in bacteria (maybe archaea) and need to be specifically coded if desired.

      It utilizes a totally different way of making the vaccines, which unlocks so many new possibilities. This new tech doesn't uses the original/weaken/dead diseases, it only carry a message to order your cells to produce anti bodies without even touching the virus. Which is very very important with HIV to not give it directly. It has many promises and theoretically should work or help a lot in the process to "cure" it.

Sub Saharan Africa is a big experiment in the eyes of the west and especially the US. They don't care what happens to those people. They go there time to time to carry out experiments and the locals are completely helpless against these so called 'charity actions'. When things go wrong they close the experiment and disppear. Those people don't have any voice and unfortunatelly nobody wants to hear what they have got to say.
