Countach had a ‘lockout’ switch, a metal lever that prevented accidental selection of reverse during normal driving. Dogleg is a racing car gearbox thing, to make it easy to go 3-2 on downshift, since 1st gear never used on track. It’s probably a marketing thing, since not all manual super cars used it. F40 and f50 did though.

You can also cross-reference for some parts as well from Jaguars, etc. Alternator is a Bosch unit off a Porsche 928 for example and only $228. Occasionally you will need a used part off EBay or something just depends what it is. You develop a relationship with these cars and it’s all part of the unique ownership experience they provide that makes them so special!
