The great thing about Nosara is that it’s a wildlife refuge therefore it’s protected and you can’t have anything built right on the beach. Real estate there is the most expensive I’ve seen so far. I call it No$ara for this reason :-) in ten years it won’t be the same since we can’t stop “progress” unfortunately.
Very good impressions I live in San José, but I have visited many beaches, and Samara is a good place to live, since the sense of coexistence and community is still maintained.
Thank you! We loved the breakdown in both videos and that you left the best for last :) And even touched on Uvita a little. We were strongly considering Samara prior to even watching your videos, so that this was very helpful. Thank you again!
Such good points!! And really confirmed what I was thinking just frm maps + research, so was so good to hear frm your real life experience. Was also drawn to guillones/Nosara but love the closeness of everything in Samara + more affordable too. Feel done buying rental properties in BC, market here is insane! Samara is looking very appealing for an investment property, charm, convenience, and room for growth👌
Thanks, we've been to a few places in the central valley but our plan was to live on the west coast close to the ocean which is why we travelled the west.
No sorry, a lot of people like Atenas, Santa Ana, San Ramon and Grecia. We've been to all but Atenas. Santa Ana is very city, Grecia and San Ramon are similar with a town and the option to live up in the mountain outside of town. Shayna's aunt and uncle stayed in Atenas and said it was way to Grey and socked in with cloud.
Hi Chris + Shayna. Love your videos! Curious if you have any videos on starting a business in CR? Curious if SeaCasa is a Canadian LLC and still file income tax with CRA? Or can you start a CR business even if u aren’t residents? Thks! I’m wanting to invest over there but not leave Vancouver island permanently 🤪
thanks for the info, to be honest I don't mind the town being a little spread out and would not be ranking a skate park so high on the list of importance. Beach info is great thank you.
Hi! Have you heard of Kaya Sailboat? Do you know if they’re a good company to use? A group of us are going to Samara this Saturday for a week. Please let me know if you’ve heard good reviews and they’re a real company. Thank you so much!
If things go sideways here in the States, come the 2024 election I'm moving to CR. I went to Intensa for Spanish language lessons 30 years ago and have returned time and again to enjoy the scenery and the Pura Vida attitude. In Mexico I've been robbed by the police three times and ripped off time and again including with a date rape drug. I found out my waiter who I ran into on the street had to give all his tips to the owner so stop giving him 20%. Mexico is not "Gringo" friendly and Costa Rica is. I feel a sense of safety minding the usual, don't flash cash, wear expensive jewelry, avoid dodgy neighborhood esp. at night. Common sense is required. Leave nothing unattended (luggage etc.) or it will disappear. Costa Rican are polite, helpful and kind. Speaking at least some Spanish will help a lot, only 10% speak English and if you at least attempt with your High School Spanish they'll treat you even better.

Thanks, yes it is a special place because of that balance
Thank you! This is a super helpful video.
You're welcome, thanks for watching and glad you found it helpful. There is another part to this video as well

Nicely done ...we have been in potrero for 2 years...just sold....heading your way 🥰
Another great video. Thanks for all the useful info!
You did a great job on your rentals, look perfect! What do you think about the weather in the fall? Is it worth visiting then?
Thanks! Yes it's still worth visiting, check out our video we just did on weather. ua-cam.com/video/q79TDBm9Wwc/v-deo.html
Great breakdown. Did you explore the Central Valley at all? I am curious to learn more about pros/cons for those mountain towns.
Thanks, we've been to a few places in the central valley but our plan was to live on the west coast close to the ocean which is why we travelled the west.
@@TheDufresnesthank you, makes sense. Do you happen to know of anyone more knowledgeable of Central Valley?

Haven't heard of them, our friends live there and have heard of them but haven't used them
Did you try Montezuma beach?
Not yet, still haven't made it to the tip of the Peninsula. It's a long drive to get there. One of the reasons we didn't have it on our list
@@TheDufresnes Yeah, Samara looks great. Seems real chill so deciding on that. Thanks!
@@TheDufresnes Also can you get tested for covid quickly near samara? Just thinking for the flight back vs. dealing w/ it in Liberia.
@@SsionRS yes there is a mobile unit that comes certain days, plus there is a place in Nicoya and nosara
Very chill

Il devrait y en avoir si vous le choisissez sous sous-titrage
The ads in this video are like the annoying person she describe trying to sell stuff 😂
The ads are what help us make these videos so no complaining! 😂
UA-cam Premium, amigo.
Painful to watch! To be continued? You never answered the question in the first video. I have no patience to watch the second.
Haha so because you don't have patience that's our fault? Maybe you should learn to have patience and be a kinder person
