For the third year in a row we will be my wife and I in Samara for our Christmas vacation, what a wonderfull little village an area. We went to three other locations in Costa Rica before and this is the best we found yet. Thanks for those great videos, it remind us all the good time we had in Samara. So anxious to be there Dec 19th. Sorry for my English, we are from Quebec.

Loved this video! Everything in this I agree 100 percent. When I tell people I got to stay at your place inside a shipping container they always ask, wasn't it cramped? My answer of course is, NO, I've stayed in hotel rooms that where smaller. And if you feel like you need to go outside, its 1 step out the door and you're in paradise! I had the opportunity to live in CR for 8 months and visited many towns, Samára is one of the best. Great people, great food, great bars and a great beach. Can't wait to stay there again! I like what you said about not having access to instant shopping and that is actually a good thing and may even help you save some money. I was born and raised in Costa Rica currently living in the bay area and I can see why you love Costa Rica. the time that you guys have to do the things you love , breathe clean air and all that in my view that’s true wealth I’m working hard to free myself from the matrix good job guys, about not missing Canada I don’t blame you, Justin Castro Is a piece of you know what!

When we were looking at the weather in Tambor for the time we were down there I went on the Weather Network and punched in Tambor. The weather was dead on.
Normally it's way off! In dry season it tends to be more accurate as it's just sunny and hot for months

Not sure about that, haven't paid attention to it. Visa, mastercard and Amex at most places. Some places only take cash

Thank you, We have not experienced anything like that yet, I've heard the saying too but so far everything has been fair. I know locals pay less for parks etc.

Yes we moved from Kelowna. It's a nice place but we definitely needed a change.
Does it get crowded in Samora over the Christmas and New Year holidays?
Yes just like anywhere in the world but not as crowded as places like Tamarindo or playas del coco
I'm a bit late on this video! Just a question about the internet. What is the average download and upload speed in your area? I work online so this part is super important to me.
Great question, it all depends on where you are staying. We have 200 mbps download and 10 mbps upload here at our house. Each of our rentals have about 75 mbps download. At the moment this is the fastest available.

Ye sits illegal to go fully off grid, I've heard somewhere between 60 or 80 percent is all you can do

In some areas yes like tamarindo and Jaco but here in Samara we have a couple and once you say no gracias they leave you alone

Do you have to pay taxes in canada, do you still get to keep your citizenship and do you have to come back home every 6 months, to keep cdn citizenship. Is it okay for me to ask how much a container home cost to design build and furnish...
