My old cat had a rather rude habit of stealing my chocolate-chip pancakes. He's pretend like he wasn't even interested in them, but he'd sit at the table with me. And the moment I looked away for even a second, he'd grab an entire cake for himself and try to sprint away with it like a madman on fire.
My cat would try to drag off a whole watermelon slice when I left the room. She is so crazy about watermelon I have to lock her in the bathroom to cut one up.
My sister's horse and my brother's dog, who were BFF, would vie for who got the leftover pancakes (if there were any!) that were thrown just over the pasture fence line. The dog would get the horse to start cantering along the fence line in one direction away from the pancakes then she would do an abrupt about face and shoot her head under the fence and grab the pancakes! The horse would realize that hey-the-dog-isn't-with-me and look back to see the dog dashing away with the pancakes. Just a riot to watch.

You're going to regret that swinging plant once it hits you or Nala on the head during driving or hard braking. Not to mention loose items making noise and knocking against each other in drawers and cabinets. But bed setup looked super comfy! I especially ❤ Highlands cow pillow!
I remember when my cat was suddenly ill, and was uncertain if he would recover. I felt so helpless, and terrified of losing him. I couldn't eat, hated going to work and being away from him. Fortunately after an antibiotic injection at the vet he recovered to his old self in a few days. The relief and happiness to have him back again was indescribable, so I know just how great this late birthday is for Dean. On a related note, shout out to all you vets and vet techs out there. It has to be an incredibly hard job at times, but what you do is so profoundly appreciated.

The vet ran a lot of tests (ultrasound is why her belly is shaved), and weren't ever able to find a cause. After he started to force some food into her, she started to improve. Seems to be back to her old self now.

Love the Coo pillow!! My sister and mom visited me last year and stayed in an air-b-n-b nearby. The host had a huge double coo curtain in the kitchen which hid the laundry area. Those big eyes staring at us while we prepared dinner. What a hoot! Your Nalavan looks tops! (Just a thought for the van - maybe an alarm system? Car and catalytic converter theft is rampant over here. You don't want to lose any of your great gear or sentimental items that you have worked so hard for.) Glad you have some Nan and family time. I was confused by the many long weeks of radio silence. Then someone commented that Nala had been very sick. But not until the previous video of the van introduction did l learn the extent & severity of her illness. And this video l learn that your birthday is March 22nd, you mention being 30, and your birthday was when Nala got sick.
I cannot even begin to imagine life now with no Nala videos, which can't even compare to how you felt last month with your baby so sick. I am again, so very sorry about sweet Nala and so grateful she is better now. So now you can go on tour and go somewhere special for Nala's birthday this year & celebrate again!!🎈🥳🎈
Nala is going to LOVE van life on the road. But then you could just walk around the block and she would be happy as long as she was with you!!

Happy birthday, Holly (and Dean)! Holly’s birthday must be close to mine which was on the first. I love that you were in charge of her cake. And I know those pans! Your mum must have had them for YEARS! My mom had a set when I was a kid and I got them when she married my stepdad and moved out of the country. Sadly, mine had to be tossed and I’ve never seen cake pans with the scraper attached again.
Your van looks great. Once it’s all kitted out, it’ll be a thing of beauty.
