    We should write a song and call it the goaltenders lament! This mesmerization bites me on the backside quite often.
    I was fortunate to watch this just before I headed to the outdoor rink today. Just the idea of getting your push leg loaded up immediately felt great. Thanks again for all you do Maria!

    Just found this gem…great drill and exactly what I’m trying to get my son to work on…he’s got a similar lag…it’s more a lag from the save, then there is a rotation of the upper body to track the rebound, then the leg comes up…so, I’m trying to get him imagine his mask is connected to the opposite knee so when he starts to rotate, his knee needs to come up to do that push…Do you have any other ideas? Again, very similar to what you were doing, but you didn’t seem to be covering the rotation aspect which is a difficult movement for a lot of goalies, especially if you’re trying to get your opposite leg up to push…

      oh Oat milk haha, I totally misheard that lol. That brings an entirely new question what is oat milk?? Off to Google we go...

    • @goalietraining
      @goalietraining  3 роки тому

      ha ha - Oat milk is basically oats + water in a high speed blender then drained through a cheesecloth -- sort of like an alternative to almond milk.

    • @srStinnky
      @srStinnky 3 роки тому +1

      @@goalietraining yes, but is mostly a fashion statement than weather related. I have a couple. And well the mountain and wood lands here can get pretty cold, so I do use them for "cold" nights and when I go camping or to places where it can get colder. I believe in Toluca (near Mexico city) you can get below 0 temperatures.
