Paul Newman I knew about..and Andy Warhol ....not the others. They were/ are all Americans at heart not Slovaks. It does not matter what country you are born in or your descendants, but where you live most of your life....it just shows that if their parents and grandparents never emigrated to America..they would never exist in Hollywood ..actors and artists with big names like Paul Newman, Tony Curtis, Andy Warhol, Steve Ihnat ..As migrants they did not have easy lives especially at the beginning.....America is a land of opportunities...it is a good job they never emigrated to the UK...they would never made it that big!!! etc....they grabbed their opportunities with both hands and lived their American dreams. Beautiful and sad all together.❤ Steve McQueen was the biggest shock for me to get over, his both parents were Slovaks? Actually, let me correct you. Steve McQueen was not Slovak from Michalovce at all - he is often mistaken with Steve Ihnat - another actor who was from there. However, Tony Curtis had mom from Michalovce - she later moved to Vaľkovo, but she was originally from Nagy Mihaly - Michalovce. Peter Lorre was only born in Ruzomberok, but his family was originaly from Budapest - he was just a hungarian born in Slovakia.
