Foolish of Shimano/Powerpro to separate themselves from you. You gave them a lot of heartfelt promotion. You are the best place for them to connect with inshore customers. I thought they were stupid for dumping Larry Dahlberg, but this is really stupid of them.
Honestly it was a mutual decision because we couldn’t negotiate another opportunity I wanted to pursue. And in the end this move for me will make our UA-cam channel much better and diverse.

I was talking to Trevor back in 2019 about joining Fitzgerald Rods but Shimano wouldn’t allow it. But now that my contract is up I have a little more freedom since I’m not going to be a marquee personality with Shimano moving forward. But I’m still going to continue utilizing Shimano’s reels…

For your BC setup, how are you setting up your leader? Do you use a swivel for soft plastics? I'm curious to understand your recommendation for how you connect your leader to your braid, where you add a swivel, and how long the leader is.
Thank you for sharing Capt. I have a question, those three colors is that what you prefer in the Florida area or everywhere.? Texas water seem to be a little different than everybody else especially up here on the upper Texas Gulf coast.

Everywhere… you can find many videos on braid visibility in regards to color and many agree. Gray, White and Lt Blue are the least visible for sure! Thanks for the great question and the support for the channel.

Where are you able to buy the diamond illusion flouro? I have used momoi diamond p flouro leader for years and swear by it, but Im almost out and I cant find it nor the illusion anywhere. I normally use 30lb. I fish out of yankeetown all the time so if its a local tackleshop I can even do that. I also usually use the pink color for the clearer water around yankeetown/crystal river, do you prefer clear?
I almost always use the clear Illusion Fluoro… it has been tougher to find but I know that restock of Illusion Leader material should be available soon once again
Mr Josh Olive , from Fishing Franks ,in port charlotte fl. already has me on point ,with a very similiar set up ..diawa ballistic 3000 on a reaper rod ( im supporting local with reaper rods ) 7' 8-17 lb test 1/4 to 5/8 oz fast tip little bit lighter than what im used to , 15lb power pro hi vise , cause im 56 and half blind ..
I have a solar reel with TFO 7 ft 6 in fast a medium fast action the the real is a 3000
I started making lure weight labels for my rods so i can see the weight size easier when I'm setting them up. Some of them 8 strand braids are so limp it can be tricky for me to tie knots.
That’s smart understanding what rods swing and work lures best… makes set-up much easier before your outing

Love your channel, big fan! If possible please do a video on navigating the Nature Coast, how you mark spots, what electronics you use and how many lower units you've blown out! Maps, topology, navigating to bars, flats, tides and creeks. Keep up the good work and God Bless!
