Very costly in its very 1st servicing cost for polo. I know its a German, but then too 10k is a huge amount.
My tata nexon xz+ 1.5 L Diesel just cost Rs 2100 for 1st year
My scorpio cost rs 5000 that too 4th paid service ....
You have to account that 1 year service interval and there is a 2000rs rip off by VW dealerships by doing AC disinfectant and Gen kleen . They din't even ask me about this and they did this for my first two services. I am never going to trust VW dealership in coimbatore again.

Very honest & good explanation about the service sir. Volkswagen should serisiously consider in improving overall quality of service in India & even I faced the expirience of non availblity of parts & they took long time to give my car.
Spark plugs are replaced once in 40k Kms in case of figo & 60k in case of Polo. Usualy spark plugs are not replaced once in 10k Kms.
I heard that recently the spare parts costs have been reduced

I recently bought Volkswagen polo 1.2 TSI through auction sale. Found out the engine is sibling with notice. Its 2011 model. What's your advise? I suspect the problem is due to storing for about 3 months in the store yard without driving.

excellent video! servicing is slightly cheaper than in England (although the service is normally completed in one day) - I had mine (2016 Polo 6C, 1.2 TSI with DSG gearbox) serviced earlier this year, I did have to go back next week for a warranty replacement of a microswitch in the DSG selector (it was intermittently giving wrong signal and warning I was in "P" when driving >100 km/h on the A14 (highway))
in my city VW delivers the car on same day after giving it for service..they come n pick up the car frm my house which is 35kms away..yes but u have to wait 2-3 days to get a slot.

Self service cost: VW 504/507 spec mobil1 esp 5w30 oil 2.8 liters@₹1000/liter, Hengst oil, air and advanced 4 layer cabin filter, new drain plug and copper seal ring: total cost ₹ 5000 all inclusive. Tools like torque wrench, jackstands , spanner,etc will cost additional ₹10000 but that is a once in a lifetime investment.

dilip sukumar I've now switched over from hengst filters to original Volkswagen filters ( which are now made in India by lumax) total cost with mobil1 esp 5w30 oil is ₹3500 max. I do these simple things myself and go to Volkswagen only for any major clarifications/repairs/bodywork. Best wishes.

VW Apple Auto Mahadevapura Bangalore took a 4 iteration to do proper wheel alignment in my 1st annual maintenance service, I raised it to VW India Management to get their attention, first experience was so bad for me. Exorbitant cost for poor service. I should have considered the resale value too while buying, I was impressed during test drive, my friends warned of bad servicing history. Too naive to be impressed with car handling and steering control at high speeds. First car buying experience and I now spend much time about understanding other company cars too. Life is too short to waste one's money in these. I was too inclined to safety and this was the best pick in the segment. Never imagined I have to be a partial mechanic before buying cars.

We have to call and book appointment by ourselves... Sometimes VW service station may call you for reminding you...

Looks like they managed to rip you off.
1. Who replaces a spark plug in the first service? This is outright cheating by the service center. Spark plugs are meant to last for several thousand kilometres. Almost 60,000 km if I am right.
2. What is the difference between disinfection and 'germ kleen'? Another way to overcharge the customer. Disinfection itself should kill the germs.

Yes it a complete rip off on All VW dealership to make more money. I too found it out only after first 2 service.
very honest and genuine review ...thanks dilip uncle ...In kerala these people now force us to do 2 service per year and charge for them. why the hell do they take 3-4 days for servicing even though we have to take prior appointment for that ??? i suggest to do wheel alignment and balancing from other authorized tyre shops, much more affordable and flexible... For the past couple of years i service my car from a 3rd party dealer .. i enjoy more flexibility there and i can get it done at 5500-6000 rupees ...

Overall at first glance it is an excellent offer but if you are ready to pay high service cost and unnecessary parts change which cost way too much then go ahead and buy it. Otherwise i would advise against it
My Polo (2015 1.2 petrol) 3 year old with just 18000KM is done with its 3rd service at around ~7100 Rs (got my engine oil + all the filters + Wind shield wipers changed ).. In Delhi currently they are offering 50%Off on labour charges..they do take long time in the process an average of 6-7 Hours . But i think nothing is mandatory in case of service you can always choose to opt out things that are not required unless they tell you that opting out may void your car warranty :D

I got my Polo done with the 6 month inspection and the overall experience was all right. I agree with the delay in delivery factor post servicing/inspection. Had to wait 4 hours in the process. I'm impressed with servicing intervals VW offers compared to other companies. Thanks for the video.

Performance in just ok. When fully loaded, you have to plan your over take at the highway and it will struggle a bit at ghat roads. For day to day city driving performance is adequate.

Hello sir.. yesterday my polo all star had a problem with battery, it’s totally dead. Today morning it was started by jump start method and I drove it to service centre trichy. Service people told that battery has warranty for one year only, is it correct, what about two years new car warranty? I purchased my car on April 2017 and now it’s 35650 kms completed

First service has to be done at 15000 km or 1 year whichever comes first. It is a paid service.
There is a free checkup at 7500 km or 6 months whichever comes first.

Service is needed once in 15000 km or 1 year whichever comes first. In your case, service is to be done now as it has completed 1 year

Brother I can't understand your question. There is only 1.2L MPI & 1.0L MPI in VW Polo. Both have manual gear box. There is Polo GT TSI which has automatic DSG gearbox. Which one do you mean?
Sorry that was a typo. I meant the Polo Petrol new 1L and 1.2L MPI.
The new 1.0 L MPI has almost the same performance of the 1.2 L MPI. Also the 1.0 L MPI has a more refined engine that has low noise/vibration levels and gives more mileage...

If you drive more kms, that is at least more than 20000 kms in a year, then go for extended warranty. Then only it's worth it. I haven't bought extended warranty...
