I love the fact that Major’s character is an old friend of Adonis that went to prison. Think that’s such a great twist and can have huge emotional impact when they do fight, if done right. Look’s like Majors is playing almost a Tyson like figure.
Yeah, you can tell some Tyson in him. But, he’s pretty much Tommy from Rocky V. I can dig it.
This new character seems pretty valid but he still doesn’t compare to Viktor Drago☝🏾 Viktor BROKE Adonis, literally….
Nah just lazy fast and furious style writing 😂
I was getting some Clubber Lang vibes from Majors. He's hungry for everything that Adonis has.
Very common trope lol
I can respect this, it’s no longer about the past of rocky meeting the present, it’s all about Adonis and his own life. Can’t wait for this to hit theatres!
@M which one of those sports comes in handy in dangerous situations ?
You're not wrong, but it's a bit like the OG Rocky 3 as well. Clubber hungry and steps up after Rocky starts to lose his edge. It just has a back story to feed into it. It still looks great though.
Kind of similar to Rocky 5 though with the Tommy Morrison situation.

One thing that a lot of people don't talk about but can be noticed in this trailer is the evolution of Duke Jr, he was ignorant with Adonis in the first movie and in the sequel he wasn't experienced enough to train him for the first Drago fight, now, he finally seems to have the balance to become a perfect manager, just like his father was for Apollo and Rocky, pretty awesome.
Love it, the Duke-Creed duo 2.0
Very true. Like he has grown as Adonis has grown as a fighter
Great writing and great storytelling the opponents that he faced each taught him a lesson.
I think ti would be great to end the series as a trilogy.
Absolutely baby
I’ve said the same thing. When Adonis called him Little Duke in 1, I was like oh wow. And when Adonis told him in 2 let’s do it for our dads I felt that. Duke was one of my favorite characters so I’m glad his legacy continues just like Rocky and Apollo.
That change in Majors’ facial expression when he says « thank you » is elite !

I went to the cinema to watch this yesterday and it was an amazing film. I personally would say it's the best out of the 3 Creed films so far. I'd highly recommend watching it especially in a cinema on a big screen. That 3rd round between Creed and Dame at the end where everyone disappeared but them was mind blowing how it was filmed I was like a little kid again watching Rocky. Great film and for Michael B Jordan directorial debut it was a masterpiece.

Thanks going to see it this weekend
I’m glad I avoided videos about the movie until I watched it. I’m so late watching but I wanted to make sure I had my own opinion and watched it with no bias. It definitely lived up to the hype and that scene was so creative. A lot of how they edited it was very creative, a little bit of surrealism in certain parts even though it wasn’t a fantasy movie. Loved it
i saw it finally and it was booooooriiiiiing, the worst of the Creed series
I remember taking my father to the movie theaters to see Creed when he was in good health. I remember taking him to see Creed 2 when his health started to decline. Though I can’t physically take him with me to see Creed 3, I know he will be there and this will be a tough one to watch especially. Jonathan Majors is perfect for a villain who acts friendly with a smile, but it has a double/hidden meaning, and it comes off eerie because it's too friendly with his calm demeanor. And only later do we see the true nature (evil/anger) behind it. Not evil in this movie, I'm mainly referring to Kang.
I thought he looked familiar!
I agree. He also played Atticus Freeman in Lovecraft Country where he showed a lot of raw emotion and anger so it seems like the Damian character is gonna be a mix of Kang’s charm and Atticus’s anger.

@@Eva_H Mike Jai White was a far better specimen. If anything this other guy is the Walmart discount version of Mike Jai White.
@@Zurround okay, I can live with that as a reply
This movie got butchered in editing.
0:11 Press conference was cut
0:35 Adonis and Damian entering the diner was cut
1:02 Damian being made fun of for his electronic ankle bracelet was cut
1:05 Damian being too aggressive in sparring was cut (final film shows him giving a unsportsman hit that is not clearly shown at all)
1:37 Damian slamming his gloves together after Felix was already knocked out (good to portray Damian's unstable character) was cut
1:50 Adonis looking in the mirror was cut
1:53 Adonis having an ice bath was cut
1:55 Adonis in prison was cut (all the prisoners are young so seems like Adonis was visiting his old juvenile prison to make peace with his past)
Plus Damian's character was underdeveloped. I would have loved to see some footage of him in prison, hitting the heavy bag or sparring, just something. I also thought the part where him and Adonis meet on the beach after his win against Felix was weird, Adonis just somehow knew he would be celebrating there.
I loved all the previous films but this one was weak.
I hope a director’s cut is released so that we can see all the cut content. They really hollowed the movie by taking out all these good scenes. I was really disappointed to see that Dame jumping and slamming his gloves was cut. A shot like that really does justice for Jonathan Majors’ physique.

I loved both Creed movies and honestly I really hope this lives up to those. And honestly I do get the idea of making this one; though the first Creed was about Adonis proving he is his own person and can get his own shot and II was about facing the demons of his father's legacy not drag him down in what he wants to do, it did feel like we needed a movie specifically about an enemy and an obstacle that relates squarely to him and something he couldn't just rely on a mentor helping him get past. Like Rocky has a really great ending in Creed II to his story so I get wanting to separate him from this story and have it be about something specifically Adonis went through.

I was hooked but in the second one, i don't know, it was more predictable. Apart from that i didn't really like Adonis portail in the second one, i thought his ego drove his actions.
This has the potential to be a great movie. I hope it lives up to the hype!!!!!
Was skeptical of them doing a 3rd movie because I wasn't sure where they could go after having Creed conquer Drago. Seemed like a great way to wrap the story. But this looks fantastic. Excited to see the direction the story goes in. This has so much potential to be great! Let's go!
Idk if this is the last one but it would make a great trilogy
@@davidmckesey7119 i hope it's not fr
Creed 1 was a pretty good. A little slow but it had to be to setup the whole story and relations. Creed two was so amazing. So hard to beat Creed 2. Creed 3 looks it will be great but I doubt it will top creed 2.
@@VuVan-co4mh This. I loved both Creed movies but Creed 2 tops Creed 1 and probably this one but we don't know why
I'm sure they will keep milking this cow. Bet clubber lang jr. Is next
This almost like what Rocky V should have been about and I'm already loving how this movie is turning out
I was about to say this his a Rocky V feel to it.
I agree. This is how Rocky V should have been made.
Why should Rocky V have been like this? I don’t get it. This is obviously imitating the concept of partner turned enemy again.
I was droppin that same thing here.
@@arthurcurry2003 it's more of old friends turning to enemies but by this point, Rocky and Adonis have pushed their limits and went the extra mile. Now it's time to train someone else who would carry on that legacy. Rocky V was a soap opera and its final fight was literally just a bar fight, if you think about it.
Ain’t nobody talk about this edit? It’s absolutely amazing! Whoever created this trailer needs more credit
absolutely fire edit bruhh ngl
@@Lodosdelavida you is lyin
Thank you 😊
trailer? was this not the whole movie?
Dumbfuck ran out of things to compliment eh????
Glad Wood Harris is getting a bigger role in this movie, he’s always been a phenomenal actor.
I could always go for more Jonathan Majors in my life. That dude is on the fast track for an Oscar.
With that physique too, he looks ready to play Kang the Conqueror.

1:37 Brooo I love how much Adonis looks like Apollo in Rocky 3 when he wears that suit🤩🤩🤩
I don't know how good/great this will be, but I'm 100% going to see it in theatres.
IMAX gonna be the move for sure 🔥
Creed 3 was absolutely amazing 👏🏿 🙌🏾 I really hope they get nominated for an Oscar.
This will be incredible!
@M who asked
OMG this story looks awesome, and such an authentic story for our culture, this one's gonna be epic!!!
You're insane!
@M no one asked about soccer mate😭😭😭 i think all those soccer players who love diving around screaming and whinging all the time should get into boxing, might toughen some of them up a little🤣🤣🤣🤣
@M man thought there were over 270 countries🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is great! It's a perfect and original story, no longer is this new Creed franchise hindering on the Rocky legacy, it's now really opening up to its own path.

Reminds me of Rocky V a little with rocky training Billy Gunn and then billy Gunn straying away from him and getting too big for his shoes
Did you not watch Rocky 5?
Wouldn’t really say its original, looks like your standard friends turned enemies plot.
@@Gunnhfran2 Rocky V is literally happening Infront of your eyes and you are rooting for Billy Gunn (Micheal B)
Good time to be alive when I can find and watch any Rocky movie in seconds and new Creed movies are still coming out. idk if it’s the music, how emotional the stories are, or what. I love this franchise.
This is the 9th movie in the franchise and there's only 1 bad one (Rocky 5)
Jonathan major playing antagonistic character is just too good.
Jonathan Majors giving Zod in Man of steel or Tom Hardy in Warrior vibes as the villain with nothing to lose but everything to gain is the gonna be so interesting to watch. He really is killing it right now
I started rolling my eyes when I saw that they made a third one. I thought, just let it end already. But now that I’ve seen the trailer I changed my mind. I want to see this.
Looks fire
@@528Chris No fires in trailer
At least it's not Clubbers Lang's son. It's Creed's own enemy
I feel the same way honestly
Jonathan Majors is one of the best and most underrated actors working right now.
Extremely underated just like Wood Harris.
Jonathan majors is starting to be a favorite actor.
Honestly me missing Rocky went out the window cuz of how much Adonis had grown out of both his fathers and Rocky’s shadows and introducing his past is the right step into the direction for this story and having his daughter grown up too is great to see cuz maybe she’ll get her story sometime soon
Well said, they are going with the characters story instead of the whole nostalgia route with rocky. its nothing wrong with doing nostalgia moments in films, but sometimes its better to do things differently.
Word up on the daughter. Would be an interesting take
Two friends fighting is always a bittersweet story. I'm looking forward to this.
Love how grounded this feels. Majors is a force with his acting but Jfc he look scary
Dropping in after seeing the movie... This is the best of all Creed movies. I never thought id say that after seeing the 1st one
That initial monologue is powerful, it works both narratively and in terms of the creative process. Creed 1 and 2 were still revolving around the Rocky mythos, this is the first truly independent story, not tied to Rocky and his rogue’s gallery. Pumped for this film.
Damian is basically Donnie's Clubber Lang. Both of them want to be the big shot in boxing.
The difference is Clubber Lang doesn't have any personal reasons against Rocky while Damian felt he was robbed of any chance to prove himself while Donnie got everything.
Yeh i think rocky might be dead. in 0:13 scene it looks like adonis is at a funeral. i think it might be rocky's.
@@jitjit2838 it says CREED on the grave, and in creed 2 his visits his father grave. its his Dads grave
Sure make a Creed movie not tied to Rocky..... then basically rip off the worst Rocky film. If you can't see this is basically Rocky 5 then good luck.
While this is a good movie.
Don't think for one second this movie isn't rocky 4 mixed with rocky 5.
“I need you to let go of your fear , let go of the guilt , let go of whatever was , and walk into what is“ POWERFUL
It's basic at best.
@@juliox.1829 In your opinion, not to me
POWERFUL💥💯
@@juliox.1829 You're right, it's pretty basic dialogue that any halfway decent writer can write. There's nothing about it that's "powerful". These people who type quotes from movie trailers are just fishing for "likes" and for some reason thousands of people give it to them for just typing word for word what was said in the trailer. I'll never understand why people validate them for typing out something that came from someone else's thought and imagination and not their own.
@@tonythornhill9156 The line here is in fact powerful, not because it's obscure, flowery, and riddled with purple prose, but because it conveys/communicates a fundamental truth that most of us understand, yet fail to implement in our daily lives. That fundamental truth is this; we are constantly frozen in time (i.e. our growth is limited) by fear and guilt; paralyzed and unable to move and are restrained by our own internal forces (prevented from progressing and succeeding or defeating foes, for instance). Further, there are many ways to say "walk into what it is" such as "be in the present moment" or "be mindful", but the beauty in this quote comes from its relatability; we all know and understand those moments in which we are paralyzed by fear and guilt, and we ultimately desire the freedom to be unchained and walk into what is, the present, with mindfulness here and now, and as we should be at our greatest capacity to thrive and defeat any obstacle that presents itself. In other words, we long to be free in order to live up to our fullest potential, to persist and survive against daily challenges, and that's what this line is about. It's subtly profound for its relatability in that we each share this universal condition of humanity, and it's a shame you failed to recognize that (though it's not too late!).
When I saw the trailer for Creed 1, that’s when I started to work out and started to be discipline and consistent and get into the best shape of my life. Every time I see a new movie for Creed, it reminds me that we’re all have a legacy to leave behind and how far we came. I hope all you guys are giving it your all in life 🔥🙏
Amen to that 🙏🏻👏🏻
That's what's up 💪🏾🙏🏾
That's how i felt when I first saw rocky when i was little and creed just rejuvenated that feeling of working hard...pushing yourself..staying disciplined to be in shape..feel good..to pass good onto others just be a good hard working man! Can't wait to see this!
Movie was great! I saw it on Thursday! I’d love to go back and watch it again 😆
