hi dennis ive been learning and and becoming completely addicted to taking apart old reels and making them work great again. and wanted to comment again because i have been using a black food tray like yours from the beginning. you usually have an old cut out 1 gallon milk container i believe. mine are trader joes prepared meals. i also use little plastic condiment containers for all those small parts. the added benefit being that if they need cleaning up (usually do) i can put something like wd-40 in there and with the lid on shake up for a nice quick cleaning. anyway... so nice of you to share so much expertise! have a great 2024 🙂🐟🐟🐟
Thanks for the kind words and feedback. I appreciate the small parts tips. Some folks also use an egg carton to organize those small parts - Best wishes for a great 2024 - Dennis
Dennis, it doesn’t have an AR override does it? This looks like a very well made ree, but it is minus an AR Override. I could never accept it. Still I like to s even all reels especially ones I don’t have. This was a very interesting video! Happy New Year! - Chris
For Penn, how they planned line-up? Is the Spinfisher above Battle or the other way round? Nice video, I got a 6500 which I can service myself now follow your instructions here.
plan your work and work your plan. Wally world has those 3 brush sets for about $4, HF a little less. other then a few specialty tools, every tool can be purchased low cost at either place

You are correct. No A/R over-ride

The Spinfisher is above the battle and is a classic design. The ones that are above the Battle in the same design class would be the Penn Conflict.
Hi Dennis . Another Huge Reel . Way Too Much Line ! That Would Make A Hel of A Mess !
Not a Trout reel :)
Oil or grease on spinning reel ball bearings?
I use oil
