HIGH QUALITY, straight to the point, step by step information. This guy shows you how to identify the problem part and replace it yourself. I salute you Sir, you just saved me some cash, taught me how to test a switch with a multimeter, and most importantly how to really impress mama with my appliance repair skills! all with one HIGH QUALITY video. Thank you

This just saved me!! Of course I’ve already taken apart the dryer and tested EVERY FUSE TWICE thinking that was the issue! Turns out it was the outlet plug. It was showing 244v when testing black and red. But nothing when testing the center wire! Thanks!!!

Appliance Man, is there a way to ask you questions about Washer repair? You’re videos are great BTW.

What if in the final step, the motor does start? But wont start on its own. Thermal fuse is good. Running thermister is good. Timer runs but not sure how to test mor thoroughly and it has a 4 prong start switch. (Amana) ned4700yq1

I have had my amana washer and dyer for almost 11 years. Only had to change the heating element in dryer(4yrs ago) and we have went through 2 cords(previous years ago) now as of last night i have no power on it. I do plan on checking all the things you showed. I do know my power cord is good. Thank you for the informative video! I appreciate your help for the DIY people like myself ❤

JUST A NOTICE!!! My dryer would not start. I checked everything, EVERYTHING, before taking it apart to test the motor. When I had performed the continuity test on the white & blue wire connect and then the white & black wire connect into the motor switch, everything was good. SO!! I did a VOLTAGE TEST where I put a jump wire for the door switch to mimic the door being closed. I put my multimeter on ACV 250. I plugged the dryer in. Set the timer to heat dry and pushed the start switch. BOO-YAH!!! It worked. So then I removed the multimeter probes from the connection and tried the start switch again. It is still working.
APPARENTLY when I had pushed those probes into the wire harness, I snugged up a loose wire. EVERYONE told me that it was VERY rare that a motor would go bad on a Whirlpool dryer, especially a 3 year old dryer.
I was about to load this dryer up and take it to a parts shop to put a new motor in. WHEW!!! Saved a few hundred dollars by checking everything.
