You already have electric car and now if you buy one hybrid or gas model then it’s good for long drive , so that way you don’t have to worry about charging battery again on the highway. I like gas model rather than hybrids because the sound of transmission or gear feel so good when you drive . Well it’s up to you boss.

Tech has beaten us numerous times.😂 Several years ago, I recommended my wife's friends in Calgary to buy Tesla-a month ago their 2 sons in M3 was hit by the train, Tesla automatically shuts down, instantly connected to the police. The cops told them if it's any other car-you guys are either dead or crippled. Elon's first principle is Safety! Now, the parents have MY & the son M3. FSD $8k.
