@EtelRamirez-mu4sx well iam just saying my teacher explains it in a difficult way that no one understands in the class. So watching this vid made it easy to learn
I know😂. I call this language barrier between people and mathematics 😊 they should ask: if you treat number six as whole how many 1/2's is there😂. Because if you go by what you hear: I have 6 chocolates and will divide this by half - then we have problem 😅
Or, you can use your noodle: explain it to yourself in a way that makes sense to you. Here’s one example, think of your own: Imagine you owe six people a dollar each. You have fifty cent coins available to you. How many coins do you need to pay off everyone? Intuitively you might see that you need twelve coins. But to state the proof, when the method of payment is divided in halves, you need (6 / 1/2) coins to pay off the debt. A super smart fellow once told me “You don’t really understand something until you can explain it to others.” If you can’t tell, I don’t like the ‘flip and keep’ tricks because they focus on the How, and ignore the Why, which is the basis of knowledge.
A terrible job of "teaching". But you did say how, not why. The understanding of the math is more important than finding the answer. What I mean is how many groups of 2s can you create from 6 -> 3; groups of 1s -> 6; and groups of 1/2s-> 12.
12 . . . . .. KCF Keep 6 Change to times Flip 2/1 we got 6x2/1=12 Or simply compared "What is 6 divided by half" X = 6 ÷ ½ or 50% part of the whole & not "What is 6 divided in half" X = 6 ÷ 2 or whole cut in half
You are so much better then my teacher. Thanks so much, simple basic, easy to understand.

bro I cant agree more

@@I.C592 your are right
He explained the process.
It helps to rephrase the question, "How many one halves are there in 12?"
W h a t
How many ones are there in twelve?
12 ones
Now how many 1/2s are there in twelve?
(Hint: there are two 1/2s in each one.)
@@aolster31986?
There are 24 one halves in 12 !
You are much better than my teacher 👍👍
Half of six is three what did I miss

It's 6 divided by 1/2, ie how many 1/2s in 6, not 6 times 1/2
@@kevinsolari2744 oh thx u
Its half divided by 6 ( 6 ÷ 1/2)
Not half of six (6 × 1/2)
"Of" signifies multiplication.
Your wrong that has nothing to do with it
😮😮sakto ma na😮😎💯
TO DIVIDE BY A FRACTION HERES A TIP KEEP CHANGE FLIP!!!
Ok I can understand better than my teacher thanks🎉🎉
thank you so much! I forgot the basics 😅😅
😊
ikr it just slips out sometimes when I am doing algebra 😂
I’m grade 5 I took one hour to search about this it’s hard but it’s easier by you thank you toooo much 😊😊😊
Me too
6 divided by 1/2 == 6 * .5 == 12
Iready taught me 😭 but my teacher shows me so much life hacks many people don’t even show
my teacher made us memorize it with KFC
Keep - original fraction to keep
Flip - whole over 1 denominator
Change - divided to multiply
Smart guy gonna watch you and people like you
×1 subscriber thats me
Edit:Ur so good Sana ol
Bro you good❤
Thank you so much I wa confused now iget it thank you so much I appreciate it
6 ÷ 1

= 3 as 1 is half

Half of any number
So do you times the bottom number on the number what's on the half all the time?
How to do mixed

That is fine for relatively simple equations, but it can't work with precision in complex ones. You'll need a formula.
Thanks for your help 😊
did u use multiply in 12/1
Can you give another question? Because i don't know if we should put 2 (any number) over 1?
Omg my school does this and it’s SO EASY!
Thank for help❤❤❤
Thank you❤❤❤❤❤
Useful for second grade!
Or change the 1/2 to an decimal, then you have
6 divided by .5
What we do if '6 is negetive or any other number is negetive'?
simple to undersand thanks
Thank u so much
I thought half of six would be three.
It’s more like how many 1/2’s can you get from 6
Half of 6 is 3, that would be if you divide it by 2.
This one is reciprocal
How would you not know that there are 2 halves in any whole? 6x2
What about if there's one remainder left
23/2 = 11 1/2
You are left hand writer 😮

Yes, I agree
This is basically a simplified vearson of 6\0,5, 6\0,5 is very easy basically 0,5 *2 is 1 and 6\1=6
Therefore it’s 0,5*2*6 (0,5*12) so it’s 12
THANK YOU
tune to mauj kar di
That is called reciprocal
12

KCF
Keep 6
Change to times
Flip 2/1
we got
6x2/1=12
Or simply compared
"What is 6 divided by half"
X = 6 ÷ ½ or 50% part of the whole
& not
"What is 6 divided in half"
X = 6 ÷ 2 or whole cut in half
you reciprocal the 1/2......
LETS GO I GOT IT!
Tks pro
thankyouuuu so muchh.
What grade is this?
What would 2/1 4/3 be 😂
Bro know how to right in left hand op
Show this with a picture also. 6 whole circles cut into halves = 12.
Omg tysm-
I remember this method as rote memory math. However, now that I am older I look at it and say 1/2 of 6 is 3. Why 12?
½ fit 12 times in the 6
This is division. To calculate 1/2 of 6, you must use multiplication.
Why do they always insiston math speak . Instead phrase it, how many times does 1/2 go into 6
3259 divide 13 tadle
holy damn..... good
Bro if i seen this 34minutes ago the number 58 (question of my test) will be so easy brah
It’s better to teach students why 6 / 1/2 = 12 rather than just explain how to do it.
Thanks you
Thanks

How can I do this

So easy 😃-but divide 😤
Give a example of a fraction bar😅

that has been stuck in my head for the whole of today and idk where it came from
@@neonsky36ENERGY formula discovered by Einstein.
My answer is equal to 12
Thx
I didn't even understand thats how dumb i am.
It's 3! 😅
When you divide by a fraction your answer will be bigger than your dividend 80% of the time so no
Thaks
You did not have to do all that
Who’s gonna tell him I mean should we even tell him
Who writes a 12 by writing the 2 first?
What "Flip"?😂
It's reciprocal
❤😊
Simple 1 ÷ 1/2 = 2
6 ÷ 1/2 = 12
My simple method.
Guys it's 12 beacuse 1/2 is 0.5 and 6÷0.5=12 they are correct
Yeah, it's obvious. Because for me!12 divided by 1 is 12.
6 x .5 = 12
If 6 divided by 1 = 6, then 1/2 of that is 3.
Is everyone dumb these days 😂
What is 2/3divide4/6 it's correct 12/12
I hate KCF we call it Kentucky chicken fried
