@@Hans_Math_And_Science It was helpful. Maths was my favourite subject in school, but I didn't know this quicker, easier solution. Previously, I would've converted the mixed fractions to fractions, then proceed.
Sir, are we adding or subtracting 7-2=5 by adding If i subtract -2 from 5 then i change the sign of the term to be subtracted and add 5+2=7. Please help me. Thanks
Your explanation is excellent
I would have changed to improper fraction
6 1/3 - 2 5/6
=19/3 - 17/6
=38/6 - 17/6
=21/6
=7/2
= 3 1/2
❤
That is what I would do
Thank you, I've always struggled with fractions

38-17/6 = 21/6÷3/3 = 7/2 is correct Answer
6/13-2/56 is 7/2
Why not just make irregular fractions?
You absolutely can! This is just one way of Subtracting Mixed Numbers. Thanks for commenting and happy learning.
@@Hans_Math_And_Science but in your video you said it must always be done this way
@@jayjay_yah Could you timestamp where that's said? There is definitely more than one way to subtract mixed numbers.
