I have watched a 100 videos on Editing and yours was the best I've seen for beginners. It gave a good orientation without overwhelming and covers many of the challenges I have faced starting out and how to avoid them and keep it simple for best success and growth later on.

No computers were harmed in the making of this video ! Great job, you moved me from Premier to DVR. Thank you ! This was a great overview before I start your LWP Editing Course

Great video! trying to teach myself Davinci to edit my Dji pocket 3 footage my plan is to further on do some travelvideos to upload to youtube aswell and as backup on mys ssd´s, this was really great tips to watch. I Have some further questions for you sorry if there is a bunch of them but i figure you are the man to ask about this so i hope you have time . Do you change any Bitrate settings on export? or just leave it to best? Variable bitrate or constant? and quicktime format or mp4? do you usually only make only one copy to be uploaded for youtube and one in different settings to be stored on external harddrive as a backup? or just the youtube copy is enough? My timeline resolution is 4k , 23.976fps and optimized media cache set to DNxHRHQX, and color management for colorgrading set to davinci YRGB, Rec709(scene) and output same as timeline is that good enough? or should i change something there? and last question, my computer (windows) handles davinci verywell but my TV that i view it on is a UHD 4k that i have on 60hz 8bit, Would it make a big difference for me to change to a Desktop Display for pc with 144hz or something? Thanks for taking your time. and keep posting your videos i learn alot from you.

Pascal what about the travel filmmaking tours that you posted 4 months ago on youtube? Any more info? I would like to join

Turned out the company was not flexible enough to plan tours that are actually good for video creators. I'm currently in talks with a friend who owns a backpacking company to set up some custom tailored tours. It will take a bit longer, but therefore I can guarantee a better experience. Make sure to subscribe to my newsletter, so I can keep you up to date.

When trimming a clip you'd better use ctrl-shift-] or ctrl-shift-[ for cutting and trimming to the playhead (right or left). Instead of cut, delete part of the clip and deleting the empty gap.

That‘s what I said in the video with Y, X, and C, I just use different shortcuts as pressing multiple buttons at once takes longer than single buttons.
