Earnshaw theorem can be overcomed by spinning a permanent magnet below another permanent magnet it achieves stable equilibrium. Check my video on the latter for proof
That doesn't break earnshaws theorem... If you are using energy to maintain equilibrium then it doesn't count... :) I am aware of magnet levitation devices and diamagnetic bismuth, etc. the interesting thing about this is it is only permanent magnets.

The simplest magnet motor you can make at home is called a "homopolar motor" I have a video of that on this channel.

This makes me think of a magnetic drive shaft. Possibly it would be valid in vacuum where thermal isolation is important.
