I have had a similar hair loss journey from hormone changes. HRT has been helping along with stronger hair vitamins and serums. I also love Ouai Detox shampoo, the purology strength cure but haven't gotten their purple until I finish my current system. Both Kenra products are excellent as is their #13 root lifting spray. Currently I'm absolutely obsessed with Virtue Full line. I am seriously considering the larger sizes because it works so well.
After an infected kidney stone and sepsis, my hair fell out in handfuls in 2023.My beautiful gray hair was already thinner from menopause.I found out some antibiotics and of course stress were my culprits. My body needed to recover and also my hair. I looked into wigs but too pricey.I will be getting your supplements because in the end your health is very important. I am 9 months out and my hair is coming back. Thank you for always giving advice and recommendations to us!
Love the Ouai leave in. I alternate that and my pulp riot Copenhagen leave in. Both are fantastic and don’t weigh down my hair. Ive also used the ouai heat protectant and it’s good, but right now I’m using redken extreme play heat protectant cream and my hair drinks it up and I don’t get frizzy stick ups at all. (I know you won’t use redken though) Trying to baby my hair and I’m finally seeing a little growth.
Hi Melanie, I love my Dyson hairdryer too😂. Also, from Virtue the leave in - 6 in 1 Styler and Flourish density booster. And last year, I finally tried scalp "scrubs" and wow, loved the result (got one from Umberto Giannini- Scalp rescue scrub exfoliating anti-dandruff treatment that I repurchased). Can't wait to try Oiua detox shampoo- already moved in the bathroom.
Morning. Before my styling products. I really work it into my scalp and let it sit a few minutes before putting on the rest of my haircare and drying my hair. I also focus on a scalp massage as well. Good time to get the blood flowing to the scalp!
Hi Melanie, can you please share the supplement that you use for the anemia, I suffer with anemia for a long time and the Iron supplement that my doctor prescribed make me sick, and I try so many different types of Iron but I don’t feel any difference, please and thank you 🙏🏼.
This one here by Thorne: amzn.to/3tGk8PC I originally started with a prescription one and that did not last. Made me so sick to my stomach. The Thorne is soooo gentle. I literally researched gentle iron like it was my job and this one came up as one of the best. I doubled up at first for the first 3 months to help rebuild my iron and no issues. Please take it with vitamin C as well. It dramatically helps the absorption of the iron. I prefer this one because again, no tummy issues with this one: amzn.to/3vkSjg9 Liposomal vitamin c is THE BEST! Good luck friend. Anemia sucks and makes you feel like trash.
What do you use for heat protection? I’ve tried several high end products (including the Pureology leave in) that leave my hair a bit greasy and I barely spray any product.
Do you spray the product directly on to your hair? I can't do that. The distribution isn't the most even that way and weighs my hair down as well. I spray into the palm of my hand, rub product around my hands and then lightly EVENLY run through my hair. I even do this with heavier leave in's and have the best luck that way. The Pureology is one of my holy grails and never weighs my hair down, but spraying directly on the hair is not the best for this one.

Just bite the bullet on the larger Virtue sizes. They are on sale right now at Ulta. If you love the line its much more economical.
I have been using Virtue "full" shampoo and conditioner for a while and love it.

YES! I agree that the Virtue leave in is great. I have only purchased once but did really love it!
When do you apply the minoxidil- during the day or at night? Thanks for sharing your journey.
