Thank you very much. I have a Hamilton Beach but a different model. I move the dial to toast like you did and put the timer on nothing. Same as you did, then you put the dial to 450, yeppers it worked.

I did bake pizza, came out good. Ive been playing with the knobs and rack and noticed I get a good chrunchy pizza when the pizza is directly on the rack, no sheet and no foil paper. Toast was a bit tricky to get the right toast but I managed to get perfect toast now and not have hard/burned toast. Overall im happy with it.
Make it wasn't used or a return item. Reach out to their customer service. If anything maybe you get a partial refund or maybe have a new send. Hope that helps but it's a good toaster.

Don't use the bake sheet for toast. Goes on the rack. Goes on the middle slot, not the bottom for even toasting

My toaster is still working great. It toasts fast which I love but I had to play with the knob to see what fits best. Hope you enjoy your toaster too.
