This is my first week living at university in the UK, now this transition was going to be hard but freshers during a pandemic is DEFINITELY not IDEAL! However we made the most of everything we could do and still had an amazing week so I hope you enjoy the vlog.

My son, a new international student of UoB, has to spend the orientation week warded in QE hospital. It is really a culture shock for him!
Oh gosh, how come he had to be in the QE hospital, i hope he is okay?
everyday Anna @ When he arrived at Heathrow airport on 20 Sep, he started to develop high fever. As he is new to UK, he struggled to find his way to consult GP online and collect medicine from nearby pharmacy. However his condition became worst. He had lost appetite, no strength and was very weak. He called 111 for help, but not much use. Eventually, he took a taxi to QE hospital emergency and was admitted on 24 Sep. He was discharged from QE hospital on 28 Sep. His case is due to Dengue fever. He was bitten by Dengue mosquito before traveling to UK. This is his orientation week experience!

Definitely the iPad by far, there is the odd thing you can’t do on it but it is worth it as it’s so much easier to use and I love the pen x

Hi, thank you so much for watching! I would say contact as many people as possible, friends, friends of friends or anyone you know in the medical field to see if they can help. Unfortunately connections do really help. However, don‘t worry too too much as i know this year they are making expections as it is going to be really hard to get work experience with everything going on with COVID. However, try your best and don’t give up, good luck 💛xx
