@@bradmeek Just 1k? I mean I've heard of people pushing some 3krms subs to 4-5k for short demo runs.. but this is an american bass sub we are talking about. Not hating on american bass, just saying they aren't known for taking insane amounts of over power. At minimum this sub is 5krms overpowered, if not more.

A lot of hate but honestly, even though it's messy, it gets down.. Bigger box and port means less power handling and more excursion/output. If he turned the amp down a bit this would be a long lasting set up. At the end of the day he's just pushing limits 🤷

I've done this and the lows hit super low but the subs lost control I tried 2 different subs only one worked but the sub still tried don't do it that sub is almost free air

Not knowing and not giving a fu*ck about an ohm load as kid. One day they'll be wired in parallel. Then the next day I'll have rhem wired in series bridged over on that 4 channel.
Let that man live his best life... We can like or dislike anyones setup but at the end sits not yours.
My work in progress is like : well...not gonna even hear this new equipment till the alt gets in how ever many weeks this is gonna be. Idk why but this reminds me of when BASSNSANE is intentionally sending a sub to the grave. Probably all the agm..... To be the fair sub was doing its thing beating to death.

American bass hawk series are the choice to go with if we're talking American bass and daily. I had 2 hawk series 10s and I can confidently say that they are the most underrated subwoofer on the market.

You'd be surprised, due to the enclosure volume which I guess to be about 8 cube using a 11" port that long will tune to around 35hz.

This dude is pushing at least double the power the sub can take.. Then the fricking xmax on that sub is probably like 20mm with a 26mm mech.. That sub is definitely over extending, that box and port are WAY too big. I don't understand why someone would want to burn up a 700$ sub, I mean yea you can recone it, but still a waste of money. Dude could put 6 x 100$ skar 12's in there and get tons more spl.

Jacob, how come you didn't ask the guy m, more questions about his box and port size and the reasoning behind it? his music bangs for sure but his setup is all wrong. i know you don't want to be rude but damn brother when a dude's ports turns into a muffler blowing voice coil smoke you should try and school the guy a little bit on why his setup is doing that. His friends are not giving him good advice and he could be saving himself a lot of money by doing it correctly.

I've been running a Skar EVL-12 and RP-1500.1d daily for 3 years now with 0 issues. Build the correct box for it and it slaps
I had some SDRs from Skar until they were stolen. They beat pretty good for what they were. I had them right on the cusp of being overpowered daily with no issues

The box was made for SPL not SQL the box is build to spec for those 12s
@@sts2010ful "12's".....only 1 in there. Twice the air space and twice the port = less power to reach xmax and port will unload the sub.
@@theinfamous4910 he had two in the box took one out to rebuild and was waiting for the other kit and wanted to blow that one to also rebuild it and the sub was completely finer after some cool down time

What does the sound deafening do? And what was the process like? Just got a skar audio 12 inch ported sub installed about a month ago shit is fire. Just curious since I’ve never heard of that being a thing lmao
@@christopherbenjamins3601 sound deadening helps mitigate vibration in the panels. Sound deadener alone won't completely stop the vibrations unlike what that guy claims. Just remember it's best to put it on all the metal paneling inside the vehicle. Just putting a little here and there makes it worse somewhere else
