Pre Benton Vital Remains is criminally underrated. I could mention about 20 unknown albums. Underrated is a term irrelevant to bands like Sadistic Intent, or Cerebral Incubation etc.because they have bad marketing, and people aren't claiming a lot of Underground albums suck that are actually good. In particular Sadistic Intent is fairly unknown because they obviously wanted to be an obscure band. They would have been huge if they didn't turn down labels, interviews, and practically every opportunity for exposure presented to them.
I’ve definitely seen Deceased play Morbid Shape in Black, I think more than once could be confused. The first time I saw them would have been 93 or 94, I think. It already sounded kind of novel to me for how thrashy it was. I’d also say comparing Luck of the Corpse to the later stuff is a bit apples and oranges.

You're right. I'm 17 and just got into the scene and I actively listen to Impaled and Deceased. And there's 50 year olds out there claiming they're metal fans, and haven't even taken the time to find bands that they like. Most people in this scene are either posers or new.
Would love to see that Insanity LP re-issued, and second that it should be the original blue and orange cover. That album represents everything I like in death metal, just super fast, no dumb guttural vocals, and memorable riffs. Unfortunately, I was 7 years old when Hells re-issued it 😂

it's easy to rattle off a bunch of obscure and less popular albums, but I would say Stillborn by Malevolent Creation, at least by myself when I first bought it when it came out I hated it. But I have since recently listened to it again and I love it. It's dark and heavy, and has a great pace.
Screams of Anguish sends all Diabolic home on a stretcher, but here is my list of most appallingly underrated albums (DM) Promulgation of the Fall Hell Injection, but also Orthodoxyn Affiliated w/ the Suffering Blasphemy only cos that's SO the best Incan. It just is.
Blueprints for Madness is one of my top 5 albums ever, i got my cd copy signed by King since he's such a awesome guy, seen Deceased live 3 times and plan to see them many more, gotten to speak to King every time i see them and dude is such a awesome, down to earth true fan of metal. King said they had the most fun making Supernatural Addiction, like i said my personal favorite is Blueprints, but me and my buddies belive Ghostly White is just hands down their best album across the board. Love all their work tho

First time I heard of deceased I found the blueprints of madness vinyl at a record store for like a 100 bucks. I listen to them till I saw them on Spotify randomly a few months later. I I listen to it once and forgot about it till I started watching the dawg.
Anything that isn't Incantation, Autopsy, and Bolt Thrower is underrated these days. All great bands, but someone really needs to explain to the latest crop of trendhopper musicians (who normally would just be playing shitty hardcore, let's be real) that there's more to death metal than just those three bands.

Ross Sewage, Joe Ptacek (RIP), Gurge from Lord Gore, and Andre from Deathgrave are horrifically underrated for their low growls.

You're right. I'm 17 and just got into the scene and I actively listen to Impaled and Deceased. And there's 50 year olds out there claiming they're metal fans, and haven't even taken the time to find bands that they like. Most people in this scene are either posers or new.

Would love to see that Insanity LP re-issued, and second that it should be the original blue and orange cover. That album represents everything I like in death metal, just super fast, no dumb guttural vocals, and memorable riffs. Unfortunately, I was 7 years old when Hells re-issued it 😂

it's easy to rattle off a bunch of obscure and less popular albums, but I would say Stillborn by Malevolent Creation, at least by myself when I first bought it when it came out I hated it. But I have since recently listened to it again and I love it. It's dark and heavy, and has a great pace.
As a record collector, I really don't care about color vinyl. It is cool, but I'm totally fine with black.
Well, it would've been nice if it was 5 albums I didn't already know front to back, but definitely agree that they're underrated nonetheless.

Blueprints for Madness is one of my top 5 albums ever, i got my cd copy signed by King since he's such a awesome guy, seen Deceased live 3 times and plan to see them many more, gotten to speak to King every time i see them and dude is such a awesome, down to earth true fan of metal.
King said they had the most fun making Supernatural Addiction, like i said my personal favorite is Blueprints, but me and my buddies belive Ghostly White is just hands down their best album across the board. Love all their work tho

Anything that isn't Incantation, Autopsy, and Bolt Thrower is underrated these days. All great bands, but someone really needs to explain to the latest crop of trendhopper musicians (who normally would just be playing shitty hardcore, let's be real) that there's more to death metal than just those three bands.
Don't forget Entombed! Got clones of those guys all over the place too.
